I just added a day onto my trip so that I can include a water park. I would like for suggestions on which one I should go to. It's just my best friend and I that are going, 21 and going to be 24. I'm not much of a thrill seeker, I can barely make it on the rides at the park, but I want to be daring and try the slides at the park.....but I don't want to die from a heart attack in the process, which park would you consider and why. I'll be going Friday the 13th:eek:  , of august.

Thanks:D

Personally, I like TL!! The theming is great. You can truly feel like you are submersed in a tropical island. The slides at TL seem a bit tamer too. So it may be for you. I think the water parks are really under-rated. I think whichever you chose you'll be pleased. TL also has the shark reef which is a great expierence, especially for people (like myself) that will never go snorkeling in the ocean.

BB is nice too so don't outrule that-- I'm sure you'll get some BB fans opinions too.

A BB fan here:D I do like TL too, but we seem to have more fun at BB. I think I like BB better because they don't have sand like TL does. I don't mind sand at the beach, but when I'm at a pool, I prefer cement;)

We really liked the wave pool at TL better and the snorkle reef was fun, too.

But you really can't go wrong - they both are great!:p

we prefer BB, however given what you say, i agree that you should go to Typhoon Lagoon. The slides definitely are tamer than at Blizzard Beach. And the wave pool at typhoon is very unusual among waterpart wavepools.....
and yes, it's hard to beat the tropical paradise feel of the place...

but for great slides, head for BB....the theming there is fun....

whichever one you choose, be sure to spend some time on the lazy river...(at BB watch out for the ice water dripping down from the ceiling in the cave....yikes...)...

We love the tropical island theme at TL, while the snow theme at BB does nothing for us. Living in New England, we go to FL to get away from the snow! At TL, you really feel like you are on a tropical island. The wave pool is great, the lazy river is so relaxing and the slides are good. My vote is for TL!! :sunny:

Hi :wave2: sarahj
Thats so funny, because we live on a tropical island and are looking forward to BB! :hyper:

We are a bit concerned the BB slides will be too much for our 7 yr old though. The photos in the Disney brochure sent to us from Paramount Travel with our FITS tx made the slides look pretty scary!

Sandyfeet, some of the slides are very scary. Hold on to your swimsuit!

Another BB fan! We think we may try to hit both this year but BB will be the first stop!

You'll probably enjoy whichever park you pick. For me, I like the wave pool, lazy river, and general atmosphere better at TL. I think BB has better slides and better family raft ride.

Sandy Feet- While some of the BB slides are definately scary, there are some "tamer" ones that your 7yr old may be able to enjoy. There are a few that you can go down on in double tubes, so you can ride together. Also there is a great family raft ride at Blizzard Beach, and a "pre-teen" area that your 7yr old will probably also enjoy.

I definitly prefer TL over BB any day! The wave pool at TL CANNOT be beat. Even if the slides are busy you can always get in the wave pool and just ENJOY! The atmosphere at TL is terrific as well. BB is full of the "super daring" kinds of slides and like you, I don't really like the death defying stuff...LOL! The shark reef is also a pretty cool (and that water is COLD!) thing to experience as well.

We leave for our second trip to the world in 4 DAYS, and will only be doing TL this time (did TL and BB last time) as far as the waterparks go. I'm TOOOOOO excited!

Have fun!!
