I have 2 boys ages 5/8. Want to know what park to choose. We go to waterworld in Denver each year and they do well on the raft rides, lazy river, and kiddie pools.

Neither are strong swimmers and don't do the chute rides. Although Dh and I do.

Which waterpark do you think would be most enjoyable for all of us. (probably most raft type rides and best kiddie areas)

Dh and I have been to typhoon lagoon so we are probably leaning towards bb.

Thanks

If you have never been to BB then you should go there. They have a very fun family raft ride.

I personally like TL best because it is shadier and I like all the green plants verse stark white plastic snow. :teeth:

I think BB has more activities for the kids.

BB has plenty of areas tucked away in the shade.. the differnece is they are all spread out over the park. You'll find nooks and crannies everywhere family sized.

If you've been to Typhoon.. definatly goto BB

definately BB for your kids. They'll be able to do everything in the Ski Patrol area, plus the family raft ride, lazy river, and milder wave pool.

Here are the raft rides/kid areas at each park

BB Raft: Teamboat Springs (Family Raft Ride), Runnoff Rapids
BB Matt: (Purple matts in sled shapes-go head first on stomach) Toboggan Racers and Snow Stormers.

BB Kid: Tikes Peak (Kiddie area for children under 48 in tall), Ski Patrol Training area (anyone under age of 12 can do everything here).

TL Raft: Gangplank Falls (family raft ride), Mayday Falls, Keelhall Falls

TL Kid: Ketchakiddie Creek

Since you are from Colorado I thought you'd enjoy some of the names of the rides at BB.

Also both parks have lazy rivers that are great for all ages.

thanks for the links. I'm really torn both sound fun but they are so much smaller water parks from the ride descriptions that I'm feeling like just spending another day at the parks and do water world in Denver for our water park fun.

It is so tough to decide.

while not necessarily the size of a stand-alone water park.. they have twists that no other water parks have. To skip disney's water parks over a regular one would cause you to miss out IMO.

Water Parks are one of the areas I don't think the rest of the entertainment biz has caught up to Disney's tricks. Themed resorts? Vegas. Themed Rides? Everyone.. Water Parks? No one has caught up yet.

The parks are plenty large to keep you entertained from 9-6
