Which wall will headboard be on? and outlets near bed?

i know this may sound like a ridiculous question but is there a way to know which wall (left or right when you enter the room) the headboard will be on? We will be on fantasy, room 6094. Also, are there outlets on either side of the bed? We need to know these logistics for my DH's cpap machine and arranging the kids for sleep (he prefers the right side of the bed for how the cpap hose is connected and I should be near the kids... if we can't do it this way, DH is going to need some warning, lol). Should we be bringing an extension cord for the cpap? Tia!

If you look at a deck plan, you'll see that the side of the passageway where the doors to the rooms are is indented. Where the indentation is is where the doors into the rooms is. The headboard is on the opposite wall from where the door is hinged (red arrow points to headboard side). So it's on opposite sides from room to room. The sofa bed & bunk bed are on the side of the queen bed away from the door.


Yes, there are outlets on each side of the bed:

No extension cord is necessary, as it's right by the bed (that's the mattress on the left of this picture).

Thank you so much! I saw the indentations on a plan but it didn't have the swinging door image so I wasn't sure if the door was at the indentation or the part that sticks out!

You can look it up yourself, just look to see how the indentation on the door side of the passageway is for your room.

OK, looked up 6319 - it's an inside room. As far as I know the inside rooms are set up with the bed on the wall furthest from the door. Like this:

But I have seen pictures of some inside rooms with the bed on the side wall, like on the exterior rooms. Sorry, don't know how to tell which way the inside rooms are for sure.

Oh, wait, a "Standard Inside Room" has the bed on the wall furthest from the door. A "Deluxe Inside Room" has it on the side wall. Which side wall would probably be determined much like the exterior room set up.

Well, I think it's just a stock picture that they've put in there. But, again, I don't know for sure. Only experience I've had with inside rooms was on the Dream and it was the headboard against the far wall (under the virtual porthole).

We were on the fantasy, deluxe inside and both beds were on the wall opposite the door.

@Chrislovesdisney, did you end up staying in 6094? Quick question for you. I picked 6094 based on its location, but then after looking at pictures of the hallway from a previous trip I took, it looks like this particular room is in a darker spot in the hallway, right across from a staff door maybe, or, actually, I see an exit sign. Maybe it's right across from an emergency stairwell. Either way, there aren't lights directly overhead in that particular stretch, making it look a bit darker, less "cheerful". (Unfortunately I can't make out the room number on my photo; I'm just trying to count the number of doors and it seems that one is 6094.) I don't know if this description makes any sense, but do you recall? Silly as this sounds, I'd prefer a "bright" entry for my door, like the majority of the doors are. Call me Goldilocks, but I like everything for these trips to be "just right." Thanks for any light you can shed on this question.

I don’t remember if there’s lights overhead. It is just after the hall curves from the more open halls of the regular deluxe staterooms to narrowing for the deluxe family sized ones. All of the halls along the deluxe family sized ones are narrow and thus seem darker. There’s the diagonal wall nearby which may throw light a little bit. I don’t remember it seeming darker than other areas in Halls but I wasn’t paying attention. I don’t think there were any doors directly across from us, maybe a staff only door a little way down. I’ll try to upload a picture of our door if that helps you determine lighting. I’m sorry my memory isn’t better!

PrincessShmoo provided some excellent details. I've been on the Wonder (close twin to the Magic) in an Inside room on deck 2. In that scenario the bed's headboard was on a side wall.

My DD#2 has dreadful motions sickness and has cruised a few times, including with me on the 10 nt. Honolulu to Vancouver sailing in 2015. She usually sleeps on the sofa bed which runs parallel with the side walls of the room, perpendicular to the main bed. She has never noted any issue no matter which direction her bed was going. She just starts her Bonine pre-sailing and takes it throughout the cruise.
