As an AP holder I usually go to WDW several times a year (at least four times a year). In fact, i just got back from AKL this past weekend. I usually stay in a moderate though, with POFQ and CSR being my favorites. In fact, I have a trip planned at POFQ for Oct 27th-Nov 4th. However, my expenses recently increased, so my monthly disposable income has gone way down. I really don't want to decrease the frequency of my trips that much though. I'm thinking about another trip in May, but maybe staying at a Value. I'd be solo and have a rental car. Which Value would you recommend and why? Thanks!

I'd stay at PoP. I'd consider a LM room at AoA too. Only a few bucks more a night than PoP and it's new

POP. Walk down the memory lane along the lake and embrace your childhood years. :) Don't forget to check out the shadow boxes in the lobby. It has some memorabilia from the decades back. I think you will appreciate this resort very much. If you can join the line dance with the CM at the food court, "The Hustle", they will probably like that. While you're at the pool, enjoy the yesteryears music.

Over the years I've stayed at all the value resorts (except AoA) and ASMu has always been the one I come back to. I find it the most "adult-oriented" but easy access to ASSp and ASMo. It's themeing, location and more laid-back feeling has been the main draw with Broadway and Jazz sections as my favorites. Broadway is great if you have a car as it's closer to the parking lot without noticing it.

Enjoy whatever you decide! :goodvibes

I'd choose AoA for sure now, but rates are a little higher than te other values which kind of defeats the purpose of them lol. I've stayed at Pop, ASMo and ASMu, I actually liked Movies the most. Pop's theme is so random to me.

Pop would be my choice. :thumbsup2 I like the layout of the resort, I think it would be perfect for a solo trip. I like to request the 70's section because its close to the buses. :)

POP has a more "grown-up" feel and Movies is the best themed IMO. Also think the inside room theme is better at Movies. Room size/layout are the same though.

I voted for POP as well. I've also stayed at AS Movies & Sports, and liked them just fine.
But when my friend and I stayed at Pop in May, we really enjoyed the theme, and our room in the 70's section was a good location for us. I would stay at Pop again! (But with my friend or solo--dh has NO wish to stay at a Value resort again.)

I have stayed at POP and loved it. Everything about that resort was favorable and a great experience. Last year we stayed at POR and it started off rocky. Mix up on the reservations, distance to the food court and horrible bussing issues. The resort did try to rectify the problems but it just puts a bad taste in your mouth. Next year we will be staying at CBR and hope there are no issues.

POP is the greatest. Loved everything about it

When I go the World solo, I usually end up at Sports. I've also stayed at Music and Movies. What usually happens for me is that when I go to book, Music and Movies don't have standard rooms available, but Sports does so it costs a little less and thus that's where I end up.

When it's the whole family, that's another story.

We are going to stay just two nights before a spring break cruise. First time in a value - which one is the most recently updated? I know A of A is new, but cost is quite a bit more. Suggestions?
