Which Treatment At Senses Spa

Using my Disney Reward Dollars to reserve my SIL an afternoon at the spa (she is terrified of flying and has travel anxiety in general - since this is her first trip on a plane, I thought maybe that would help!)


Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the 'best' (I know that's subjective, but in your opinion, of course!) treatments at Senses Spa? I'm not really a spa person so the choices are kind of bewildering to me - cocoa enzyme treatment? Tropical immersion facial? Huh?


Is it best just to go with a package like the "Magical Me Time", or is there a signature / standout treatment that anyone who knows about such things would recommend?

Have you asked your SIL if she has a preference in treatments?

I have been to Senses (and many other spas) and, quite frankly, I find the add-ons and "special" treatments are a bunch of hooey. Especially with facials. A good esthetician should analyze a person's skin prior to a facial, so I would be a little wary of booking a special facial prior to the appointment. Personally, I would go with the traditional swedish massage and maybe a customized facial add-on (if they offer the option of having the facialist choose after analyzing the skin). I would think about asking your SIL first, though. She may have a particular type of massage she prefers (swedish vs. deep tissue for instance) and may want to avoid the facial if she uses particular skin products. "Magical Me Time" might be a good bet as it looks like a pretty basic massage/facial/pedi combo.

That's very nice of you to treat your SIL! My DS also suffers from terrible flight anxiety. I think a spa treatment is a nice treat!

I have - I should have mentioned that - she just says that whatever I want to do is fine, as I think she feels bad requesting anything in particular since she's not paying for it. Thanks for the info on treatments btw - I was kind of thinking the add-ons sounded a bit like hooey, but I was like "Who knows, maybe women who love spas are like "A facial wouldn't be a facial without a cocoa infusion!", ha ha.
