Our family may purchase AP's for the coming year and I was wondering which one would be best for FL residents? We have never been FL residents so I am totally "in the dark" about the offerings. The seasonal, after 4 or Play 4, Premium Annual? We just don't know at this point---but---if people come to visit us, we will go to parks with them and I'm wondering if blackout dates would prohibit? I just don't know. DH starts his job next week, Aug. 3, at Sand Lake Hospital. Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated. TIA.

The seasonal pass has blackout dates, usually from Thanksgiving to Christmas, 3-4 weeks in Mar/Apr for Spring Break, and most of the summer. If you plan to go to the parks with family/friends that come to visit during those times, you will not be able to go. It's much cheaper, but I like the flexibility to go whenever I want, without having to worry about blackout dates.

The After 4 pass only lets you into the parks after 4 pm, but I don't know much about this pass, so maybe someone else can give you more info.

The Premium pass allows you entry to all the parks, plus Pleasure Island and the water parks. It is very, very expensive, even with the FL resident discount. It pays off only if the difference in cost b/w the premium and annual pass, divided by $25 (the avg cost of entry to PI and the water parks), is less than the number of times you plan to visit them.

I recommend the regular annual pass. It allows you entry to the 4 Disney parks and discounts on the others. If you are only going to water parks or PI a few times a year, then this is the way to go.
