So I wasn't sure what I would want or what I would get so when I booked my activities last week I signed up for pretty much everything I could get. I have some time to cancel but would like to cancel soon so I can free up the space for others. And the not knowing what I am planning is driving me nuts.

These are set:

Brunch on sea day 1 at 11:30
Mixology on sea day 2 (following day) at 1:00

I would like to choose 1 of the following to do in addition.

Champagne at 1:45 on sea day 1--is this too close to an 11:30 brunch?
Martini at 3:00 on sea day 1
Martini at 3:00 on sea day 1--I am thinking 2 tastings so close will be a bit much? I would also like to enjoy a cocktail or two on my own time and that combined with 2 tastings?
Mojito at 2:00 on castaway day.

What would you choose? Is the mojito class always held on the island? I wouldn't like it if I found out that week that it was on the ship and I couldn't cancel at that point.

My husband and I have been on 2 other cruises and did the mixology class on one. We have not done any other tastings. This next one is an adults only trip!

Thanks for any advice!

I would do the Mojito but only because I like Mojitos more than the others you have listed. Don't know if the mojito one is always done on CC or not, but I've seen others on here post that they've done it there. If I did 2 tastings on the same day, I wouldn't be able to walk. I had a hard enough time walking after doing just the one mixology, and had to go lay down in our cabin afterwards!!

Yeah, two back to back might be a bit much. We did mixology on formal night, then we went straight to the Captain’s gala (with free alcohol), then we had dinner, then…well…there’s a photo of me dancing with Goofy. And another of me running down the hall with my shoes off. I don’t remember those. So…yeah. :joker:

More on point to your question: I’ve only done Mixology and Whiskey, so personally I’d probably pick Mojito.

Champagne at 1:45 on sea day 1 is really cutting it close to the end of Brunch...you will probably be pretty full and might want a nap. :) You would probably be able to make the Martini at 3 though with no problem. They really do give you some good pours though..what time is dinner? Do you have 5:45 or 8:15 for recovery time?
Mojitos are on Castaway Cay from all the feedback I have heard. I think it is also noted in the description of the event on the website. ETA, you would have 24 hours to cancel Mojito once on board if you found that it was NOT on the island.

We did the Mojito tasting last January on Fantasy. It was really fun and the bartender, Julian from Jamaica, was awesome. It was on CC at Heads Up bar. Bad weather could possibly move it to the ship.

Is it mojito and margarita as one or is this two seperate events?

Can you remember what drinks you had please

I think I remember seeing you running down the hall with no shoes on :) Just kidding...but it sounds like a lot of fun lol

We did the Mojito/Caipirinha tasting. It was 5 full drinks. The mojitos were made with a different rums or berries mixed in.

The Margarita/Tequila is a separate tasting.

We have late dining 8:15. I wondered about being too full after brunch even if we made it. I just really like champagne buy my husband could care less so that one is probably out. And it is $35pp vs the others being $20....so I guess that one is out.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for champagne if I just get a glass on my own at a bar?

I would rather do the mojito one for taste but I like the idea of having my scheduled events early in the cruise and then not being tied down to anything the last couple days.

I love the champagne tasting so that would be my choice. Prepare for a pretty zip-a-dee-do-dah evening if you do two tastings back to back... been there! :rotfl2:

If you do the mojito one on CC day, I would make sure I had most of my packing done beforehand. I usually try to pack a lot of our stuff when we get back on the ship from CC, not sure I'd be up to it after a tasting.

We’ve done the mohito tasting on the fantasy. It was in meridian bar. We loved it.

We’ve done mixology on the fantasy. It was in skyline. It was amazing.

We have also done the martini tasting. It was also in meridian. We were fans of it too.

Not sure you can go wrong with any of your choices!
