Which stroller would you take?

What stroller would be best?

  • Peg

  • Chicco

  • Who knows...but why do you have TWO strollers like that?!?!? :)

Total rookie with a stroller...period!

So I am trying to decide which stroller to take with us...DD will be almost 12 weeks when we go, she holds up her head no problem...so the options are:

The Peg Perego Uno, which I can have her in as a carriage (facing me). It lays flat, she is perfect in it on walks, has better basket space, etc. But sometimes hurts my back.

Or

The Chicco that her car seat fits into. She loves her carseat and it seems more comfortable to "drive." But I have never put her facing out yet.

Thanks parents...I am clueless!!!!

The bottom one looks small enough to maneuver around DL and you say she likes the car seat. Turning around might be nice for her because then she can see your face while you push her.

Personally I would take the one that does not hurt my back. I'm the one pushing it I want to be the one with the comfy back, ya know? Cushy feet and comfy back....that's what I'm talkin' about!!! Enjoy your visit.

Take the Chicco because it's most comfortable for you and your baby likes it best. You could always start 'practice runs' now with her in the Chicco seat, facing forward w/out the carseat if you wanted to have that option at DL.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

Chicco, but without the car seat. They really aren't meant as a baby holding device for numerous hours.

You may also want to consider an ergo. They are relatively inexpensive for their length of use, useability, etc. But it is so easier to wear a baby that small through the parks and maneuver crowds. Plus they can see more than other people's behinds. Also makes rides and lines a breeze since you don't have to wake a sleeping baby to remove them from the stroller.

I also voted for the Chico. It's no fun pushing a stroller if your back hurts. And I agree w/ the pp - I would use it w/out the car seat.

Oh, and your option #3 made me laugh. I can't even count how many strollers I've had with my four kids . . . :rolleyes1

I would do the second one.. I based it on the fact that it can lay flat or upright. It may get boreing hearing all the excitment but not being able to see it. Or maybe get a sling and baby wear?

If you take the 2nd, don't use it with the car seat. It's not good for babies to be in car seats for extended periods of time. Studies have shown that their oxygen levels drop.

I agree a carrier (an ergo or wrap) works really well when baby tires of the stroller.

Thanks....I for sure will bring the bjorn she loves it!

My back hurts from the Peg on long power walks because i'm a tad tall....the Chicco is taller.

I think I will try it with her facing out....I worry not being able to see her :)

I agree--use the 2nd without the carseat if you opt for this stroller. Babies really shouldn't ride in their carseats for long periods of time unless absolutely necessary...and stroller rides are not times when it is necessary for a baby to be in a carseat.

Does the Chico one recline? I have the graco one that our carseat fit into before my DD got to big for the car seat and it reclines to different angles including all the way down an then we can strap the end closed so baby doesn't slide out. It worked great when our DD was that young. If yours doesn't recline then you have to figure out if your DD can handle sitting up in the stroller or not because like others have said too much time in the carseat is not the best of ideas.

If you like your bjorn, give an ergo a try... I loved my bjorn until I got an ergo... after that I couldn't beleive I used the bjorn for so long, the ergo kills it for long-term comfort, and my dd could use the ergo until she was 3!!

Chicco without the carrier. And no one is wondering why you have 2 strollers, I have four and only 3 kids and am looking at a new one ;)

Also agree that something like the ergo would be great!! :)

okay sounds Like I better get an Ergo! And a few more strollers :)

I know not to put her in the car seat for long periods of time...gotta try the front thing out...

I guess the Chicco it is, unless I can find a way to raise the handle on the Peg.

Yup, yup! DEFINITELY get an ergo!!!! LOOOOVE mine and will be bringing it for those times when my 2yo ds might need to be close to one of us w/o us having to hold him in our arms. ;)

I'm subbing in on this one, bcause my DD will be about the same age for our trip - she has the Maclaren Quest that faces outward - she absolutely hates to be sat down *ack* and screams the whole time she is in it - I sure hope things change or I'll be wearing her in the sling the whole time and that will get OLD fast! (We're going on a DCL cruise afterwards -WE NEED HER TO LIKE THE STROLLER!!!)

I honestly would take the Chicco without the carseat, just because it's feels so clunky to carry all that stuff. The other one will hurt your back and by 12 weeks she will want to look around.

I took my youngest at 10 weeks and we had both a reclining stroller that he could face out or lay down in and my ergo carrier. I ended up using my ergo more then the stroller because it was easier to carry him then push the stroller. It also made walking and nursing with my wrap possible, which is a huge plus! We were there for 5 days and I have a bad back, not once did it hurt me. Enjoy your trip, your little one will love the sounds and the lights. Don't be suprised if they reach out and touch the characters too :goodvibes

Thanks ladies and dad...been looking at ergos...WHICH ONE?!?!?! I should said I have enormous nursing chest (can't say the other word I guess)...the bjorn kinda smashes them...not sure if different ergos work differently though...

Trying the Chicco out today facing forward!

I'm definetly not an Ergo expert but i've been researching them a little since i want to get one for baby #2. I think I'm going to go with the original one. There's one that i think is called "Performance" and it sounds good but some people didn't think it was as comfy for long periods as the original. Good luck choosing!
