Which stroller do you recommend I take?

Should we bring our regular stroller with the reclining seat?
Or a lightweight stroller (without a reclining seat)?

What is your experience with an infant napping while sitting up?
We want to use our regular stroller for future child #2 so we'd like to minimize any damage to it!

Take the one that reclines. A baby of 6 months is not going to be comfy in an upright seat all day long. They will sleep much better lying down and be so much more comfortable.

At 6 months my kids were only just sitting unsupported and would not have been happy sitting forward all day. If asleep sitting up their heads would flop forwards while sleeping and this would have hurt there necks.

I only used a non recline at that age for very short, if any, trips.

You really want the comfiest seat for baby if not they will be miserable

DEFINITELY the one that reclines. It's a lifesaver. Seriously. Especially since your DD is 6 months old. If she were 4 or 5 years old, I'd say OK, maybe the lightweight would work.

We brought our Graco with us last time, and it's still with us today. It's nearly 2 years old. It was gate-checked and survived 7 days at Disney and 2 flights (and countless trips to the mall/WalMart/Target/zoos/wherever) and it's still in great condition. We beat the cr*p out of that thing and it only needs to be hosed down once the weather warms up. A trip to Disney won't be the death of your stroller, I promise.

I am having the same debate with myself. Should I take my single Maclaren, or Evenflo full size contraption. I would like to take the full size because it reclines fully. But dh say no way in h e double hockey sticks! I'm still unsure though. From what it sounds, you just have a regular unbrella stroller, I would definitely take the full size in that case.

I took my maclaren XT and it was great. My DD was 22 months the 1st time and she slept fine in it. It reclines way back. It has since been another twice and was still great even though she is now 4.

With a 6 mon. old, take the one that reclines...regardless of how heavy it is. I promise, you will much prefer to trek around with a large stroller than deal with a cranky baby in Disney. We took our Graco with us to Disney and even after almost 3 years of use, endless trips to the mall (and I mean endless), 2 flights, being crushed under groceries, thrown into the back of our SUV one handed while baby slept in the other...it still works fine. and DS is still comfortable in it. I will say, we are doing a stroller swap to save it from further damage because we don't want to have to buy a new one before he outgrows it, but we've gotten more than our $$'s worth out of it and Disney didn't do it in. So, like DisneyBridetobe said, a trip to Disney won't kill your stroller, but an uncomfortable infant might near-kill your trip.

Bring your regular reclining stroller. There will be a lot of going up and down ramps and curbs, over railroad tracks, and around other people. So, if your 6-month old is sleeping in a non-recliner, the chance of staying asleep instead of getting rocked forward or side-to-side is slim to none.

Another plus is that you will be able to tell your stroller apart from the rest of the rented strollers. Since the CMs move these around a lot to maximize space, it's not too easy finding your stroller in the sea of hundreds after leaving it for a bit.

If we ever use the strollers there again, I am going to attach a strobe or flashing LED to mine so that I know which one is mine right away. I have not used the new strollers yet, but my DDs 3 and 4 at the time had zero trouble falling asleep in them. I am unsure if a 6-month old would fit in there well, however.

As for damage, I don't think it will be an issue. I was more worried about our stroller going missing. The trip before last, we bought a new lightweight tandem stroller the day before we went to the parks, so I was a little concerned. My concerns were invalid, as there was never an issue. I wonder if anyone has had a stroller get stolen, or even if anyone has had a rented stroller get commandeered by an unauthorized user? No one I know has ever had an issue.

Take the stroller that is most comfortable for YOU (i.e., tall handles)! You will be pushing it for hours on end and with a blankie and obligatory stuffed animal/pillow, your child will be plenty comfy in any stroller.

i bought a peg perego just for my trip because they recline and are light weight. I found it on craigslist used but in good shape at an affordable price!

We went to BRU and tried out every stroller they had before deciding on the Peg Perego Pliko P3. We shopped with Disney and our DD's comfort in mind. Her comfort was our priority since she'd be spending a good amout of time in it during our trip. While we were at WDW, I felt sorry for every child I saw slumped over in an umbrella type stroller that didn't recline and had hardly any shade. I also think that a 6 month old would quickly get very tired of trying to hold themselves upright for an extended period of time.

To the OP bring your reg stroller at 6mth you will still have bottles, diapers, maybe even some baby food to lug around. My 8yr old who was 5 at the time begged me to bring the regular stroller for her and not the umbrella one b/c she falls asleep when we are there all the time and she wants to lay down. Thankfully that wasn't and issue this last year. On another note look into getting a clip on fan for your stroller they come in very handy.

They are they are! I have two and love love love them although I have only used one and trying to get rid of the other.

A Maclaren or Pliko P3 and a backpack. They both collapse nicely and are lightweight for travel. They have big enough baskets that the backpack fits under the stroller when you're pushing it, and then the backpack can be thrown on your back when you need to collapse the stroller to get it onto the bus (we always use the Disney transport) or when you leave the stroller behind to ride rides. (Though I usually leave the backpack under the stroller. I just don't leave valuables in it. Only baby items.) I believe people are less likely to steal a stroller that is weighed down because if they want to use it, they have the added hassle of having to ditch your stuff to avoid it being identifiable as your's.

I'd take the reclining one. OR, if it's in your budget, I'd buy a lightweight reclining one. I have a Combi that I bought specifically for Disney, and I love it!
(I'm a stroller freak, though!)

Thats what we have done for DD 9mths trip, we went stoller shopping just for Disney and ended up with a Silver Cross Pop!

Take a stroller that reclines for sure! If you do not wish to take the bulky one I would seriously think about investing in a good lightweight umbrella. If you plan on another baby it will get it's money out of it! We bought a Maclaren Quest and it was well worth the cash we paid for trips to Disney, the Zoo or even the mall. Just get one in a neutral color so baby #2 can use it later. They hold up to 55 lbs too!!! Just a thought, but I would consider it.

Go for regular reclining stroller. That would be fine.
