We are booking for Nov 2006, and there seems to be lot of availability, but it's our first time, so I'm going on the information here (excellent and v informative by the way).

We are going to go for a cat 5 stateroom, but one question is when it says either 1 Queen or two singles - how do you know which you are getting? We would prefer a Queen bed.

Also, given that there is lot of choice, any suggestions? The Disney site is throwing up 7066 - 7072 and 75...same as the best availables. I have read other suggestions but definitively - port or starboard? Does either get a sunset or better view generally?

Thanks for your help....

The beds can be moved together to form a Queen size, or can be placed separate for twins if that is appropriate. You can tell them how you want the beds arranged based upon your party.

I have no opinion on port or starboard, different days you are facing different directions, but others may have preferences.

As far as bed size, all staterooms can have twin or queen beds (they just push the twins together to make a queen). It's always been set up as a queen bed when we've arrived, so I wouldn't worry about it.

As for locations, I'd take 7072 - nice mid-ship location with no one across the hall from you (less door noise).

Thanks very much for the advice. Will stop stressing about room numbers, and get on and book it!

:cheer2: We're booked and can't wait, even though it's something like 20 months away! We have a wedding :love2: to organise first (on Anna Maria Island), so hopefully the time will fly.

We booked Stateroom 7570 in the end.

Thanks again!

what is your sail date? we are going on the 11.11.2006 cruise

i see you selected starboard side - i prefer that side cuz when you are backing into castaway cay you get a great view of the island as you sit on your veranda eating your breakfast!!

They got rid of those countdown timers due to some virus stuff...you need to go delete yours so it doesn't keep showing up like that.

We are on the 9th November 3 day cruise. It's a first cruise for us, so want to make sure we actually like the whole deal before going for any longer - I'm normally a crash on the beach all day girl!

We were in 7570 on our last cruise. Great location if you have rough seas -- it's exactly in the middle of the ship. Nice and quiet. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Wow - good to know we picked a good room.

This is just such an amazing resource - I'm sure I have a million more questions to ask, but thanks so much for your help with the very first one!
