Which side of ship for Lighthouse Point views?

It’s actually really interesting to watch the docking - which is way more involved at LP. And yes, I sat on the balcony watching it. And the crew bringing things up and down the pier before passengers could get off the ship. Then I timed how long the walk was for a couple groups of passengers (average 10 minutes).
oooo I never thought of timing other people! I did my "disney walk" (aka walking with purpose) and I got there in 7 min.....but it would be good to see others do it too!

I’m honestly curious. Why does it matter? We are up early and go to breakfast where we might catch the captain pulling into the island, then pack/exit the ship. Catch the tram back at 3:45, shower and get ready for dinner. We don’t have time to watch the island as we prefer to be on it. Maybe if we had a balcony it might be different. How long do you watch the island from your room?

I'm with you! Even this last cruise on the Wish when I had a Starboard Balcony by virtue of a category guarantee, I was on Castaway all day. Not sitting on my balcony looking at the island.

I know this cruise we spent time on the balcony when we were waiting for the bathroom, had finished getting ready before others, had nothing to do for 15 min (probably because we had finished getting ready early), not ready to go to bed.....just any time we had free in the room.......I mean, I bet balcony cabins get good views of the dock crews doing their thing when arriving and departing! That's fun to watch!
