My DH (23) and I (22) will be staying at CSR July 24th-27th. I was wandering what section of the resort is the best to stay at. We like to swim but being really close to the main pool is not a big deal. I don't really want to be too far out there though. I have had two knee surgeries in the past year. I'm walking fine now, but stairs are somewhat difficult. I did fine at the parks when we went to Disney for our honeymoon in Feb. I just got worn out and the pool was a god send. I was leaning towards the cabanas because I read that they have hammocks. But I would love to here your opinions. Thanks so much!!

Your best bet would probably be to call CRO and request a ground floor room. I would go with the Cabanas. However, don't forget each area of CSR has its own quiet pool as well.

Depends what you are looking for

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most preferred location.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. Some rooms within steps of the Dig Site.

Cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. cabana 9a has a quiet pool. cabana 9a also has smoking optional rooms so make sure you are clear as to what you will accept.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views.

Rancho 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. rancho 6b is also fairly close to the main pool area.

Casita 4 is close to the gym, spa and has quiet pool. THe casitas have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

Just back from CSR....request our room....it was the perfect location (convenient to everything)....it would probably be perfect for you. We were in cabana 8A, room 8100, ground floor, corner room, standard view overlooking woods....right next to the ice/coke machine....2 steps to bus stop #4, 2 steps to the dig site...2 steps to the parking lot...and a short walk to the main building. It was pretty funny, when we checked in, our room wasn't ready yet but the CM said our room was in cabana 8A so we took a walk over to that section. I actually looked at my DH and said, man it would be nice to get that room (#8100) and sure enough that was the room that was assigned to us! :cheer2:

Thanks for the advice. roozlilone, I'll think I'll try to request your room. Thanks again.

Our favorite is Casitas-beautiful grounds, with fountains here and there. We love this section. Have stayed in Ranchos and they might be a little far for walking. :)

We stayed in Building 2 of the Casitas over Memorial Weekend. We were on the first floor and had a lovely view of a long fountain and an indirect view of the quiet pool. The quiet pool, food, parking lot/bus stop, and carts on the waterfront were all very, very close. I would highly recommend this location.

I would tell you either the cabanas or casitas. Cabanas is easier for bus stop and main pool but casitas are beautiful and close to the main building for food or main bus line. The entire resort is gorgeous and you'll have a wonderful time there.

My favorite section is Ranchos - and it's not far from the pool - but it is the furthest from the Pepper Market. It's my favorite though because I think it is BEAUTIFUL!!

I booked CSR for October, I requested the Cabanas too, but not a specific building. Is it possible for me to call back and put in a request for Cabana 9b?
I know that its not always guaranteed you get that building, but can I try to request it? :cool1:

Hey that was our room last year

Seriously that was the best room we've ever had at CSR. That why we have requested Cabana 8a when we return to CSR in only 25 days :goodvibes
