Which SC beach do you go to on your non disney vacations with little ones?

We are maybe taking a trip to either Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach in Sept. Which would you pick for a family vacation with a 4 year old?
We all love the ocean so will be spending a lot of time at the beach/in the water. I'm worried that Myrtle Beach will be too crowded, but it also seems to have more activities.

I would definitely go with Hilton Head. There are plenty of fun things to do around there if you want some time away from the beach. Amazing food choices. Much quieter beaches. (they have a Disney resort as well!)

I've stayed at the Westin there and at the Disney resort. Both were wonderful! The Disney resort has a shuttle to their private beach area and they have a pool right off the beach as well. Lots of typical Disney resort activities. Plus Mickey Waffles.

Don't discount Sunset Beach, NC. It's the last barrier island before you get to SC. Close to Calabash and not far from tourist trap Myrtle. I love the peaceful nature of the place.
