Which rooms do you request for Boardwalk view 1 BR?

We always stayed in a standard 1 BR and requested across from the bus stop. Now we will be staying in a Boardwalk view. Any special requests you ask for even though they are not always granted? Thanks in advance

There is really nothing special to request except that you may want to avoid the two rooms that are right at boardwalk level (2d floor) which used to be part of the DVC store. Thus, if you make any request, request "above second floor."

Actually there are a couple of BW view rooms at ground level on FIRST floor. They were previously part of the Preview Sales center. Some folks with toddlers have preferred these rooms so there was no worry about the children crawling over the balcony railing and falling. Instead there is a patio with shrubs and a fence for some privacy.
I usually request an upper floor BW view room for a slightly better view of Epcot fireworks. I prefer not to be in rooms -001 and -003 because they are so far from the elevators and occasionally the Jellyrolls crowd can be noisy at closing time. The -001 and -003 rooms do have great fireworks views, however. The only BW rooms that I really dislike are the -051 rooms, which are actually facing the Village Green and not directly facing the BW. Some of the -051 rooms have a tree blocking part of the view. There are folks who really like the -051 rooms but I am not among them.

I always request top floor. Less noise from the boardwalk and better views. Although I only got the 5th floor once - 5051, which Jean mentioned, I wasn't crazy about it either. Rest were 2 (once), 3 or 4. I think I would hate the boardwalk level rooms, you would have people walking (and talking) very close to your room and your view would not be that great.
