Which room type for toddler?

Actually, I think we all slept sounder knowing he wouldn't fall out of bed. Also, I think sleeping in our bed helped him calm down after a busy day at Disney. But he hated the pack and play, and was used to sharing a bed with us anytime we were in a hotel (and we traveled quite a bit for my husband's job). It might not work for everyone, but we liked having the extra floor space.

I wasn’t worried about my kid falling out...when he was 18 months, we rented a full size crib and when he was almost 3, we put him in the 2nd bed with rails.

Have you considered fort wilderness cabins? He can sleep on the lower bunk with a bed rail (which disney provides for free). We did this with our two year old recently--very safe. And everyone gets their own bed=better sleep=happier family=better trip

The Disney resorts all have bed rails available unless something has changed. When DD was a toddler, we got 2 queens and used the Disney bedrails. She loved having the big bed all to herself.

I will always book 2 beds with a kid from now on 🤣
We did a trip in February to with my cousin and both our girls who were almost 1.5 at the time plus us was soo bad 🤣 her daughter even fell off the bed at 1 point bc the girls were moving around so much.
We had to goto NC for my dads health issues in late May/early June. Hubby, myself, daughter. We had two beds (hubby on 1, me and daughter on 1)..so much better sleep.
