Oooh, off to check this out! Muppet Treasure Island is one of the movies my brother and I watched approximately 1 million times growing up.

I still have power this morning, and other than a few more inches of lake effect snow today we should be clear of the bulk of the mess. So that's one hurdle cleared.

Aaaand Mother Nature made me a liar.

6in of lake effect today. Yeah. Whatever. More likes foot plus 40mph wind gusts and significant drifting. Our plow guy can’t get down our driveway because there are multiple drifts that are too big for him to get through.

A week ago it was almost 70 out. We had almost no snow left on Thursday. And now we are back to this. North and east of us got way more snow and ice, and there are a ton of power outages, so I’m still saying we got lucky with this.

They have already cancelled school tomorrow, so I'll have an additional 2 phones and a laptop to try to get registered.

Can someone reiterate best practices re: POT and registration?

I’m shooting for Dopey and have a HM POT I intend to use, but it’s my understanding I SHOULD NOT enter a POT tomorrow. Is this correct? I assume that will make it easier should I end up registering on my daughter’s phone or something, as well.

So what options should I select?

Just choose one of the non-POT (>5h) options from the drop down. Since you'll be entering a POT later it really doesn't matter which one you choose. Once you've registered and paid, you can go in and change it and add your POT anytime before the POT deadline. I usually wait until later in the day once things have settled down.

I clipped this forecast on Saturday morning for my area. So far, it is coming true. It was 70 degrees yesterday at about 4 PM. It was 26 with a dusting of snow when I took my dogs out at 6:43 AM today and has only gotten windier and colder all day. Fortunately, I’m in an area where we’re just getting crazy temp changes and wind without the snow accumulation. I’m just hoping my cherry trees didn’t wake up enough in the warmer weather the last couple weeks that they will now be killed by the freeze over the next couple days.
