My DH and I will be at WDW in September of 09 and,Which room location should I request at CSR? as soon as the 2009 rates come out i will be making our travel arragments.

I stayed in Casitas 4 when I stayed in May and loved the location. I was close to the #2 bus stop, which was actually the first stop for pickups and drop offs. It was right next to the quiet pool and the Pepper Market was about a 10 minute stroll away.

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.

We have also stayed at Casitas 4, and we loved the location. It was so beautiful to walk through the courtyards with fountains and flowers in the morning to get to the main building, and some days we would walk along the lake. The spa and gym are also in this building. It is a little ways from the Dig Site, but the quiet pool is here, and as the previous poster said, the bus stop is also right out the back.

We have stayed in the Castias every stay (soon to be our 7th). The last several times we have been in Casitas 4 or 5. Our most recent trip was 5 and we had a hammock right outside our door--heavenly. We like 4 and 5 because it is close to the quiet pool and the spa/fitness center. It takes me about five to seven minutes to walk to El Centro/Pepper Market and about seven to nine minutes to walk to the Dig Site pool from this area (I am a brisk walker).

We've stayed in Cabanas 9a and 9b and both were very good locations. Close to the main building and pool. Last year, we were on the far end of 9a - literally, the corner room by the staircase - and it was a short walk to bus-stop #4. We always got a seat.

This year, we've requested Casitas because we'd like to use bus-stop #2, which is the first picked up and dropped off. Better to get off quickly with a fussy toddler!

So, bus #2 is actually the first stop for pickup/drop off...does that make the #1 bus stop the last for pickup/drop off? We will be staying at CSR this September for the first time and are trying to decide what building we'd like to request.

Yes, stop #1 is last from what I've read (we get a rental car, so we've never used the buses...but we drive by the bus stops on our way to the parks, when we return for mid-afternoon swim, and back to the parks and have never seen crowds at any of the bus stops or on the buses as we pass them).

Thank you all very much for the info. :cool1: :cool1:
I going to give all of you some pixiedust pixiedust: pixiedust:

For the park busses, but for DTD it's different, but I cant remember, I think it goes 1/2/3/4 for the DTD busses.

It's done so if you are back in the ranchos, that you can take the bus around to el centro instead of walking, so it's a dual purpose, picking up to goto the parks, but also an 'internal shuttle' type thing :)
