We are going to Disney in August and have ressies @ The Contemporay. I assume they are for the Garden View since we did the cheapest. Is there any section or wing I should request? IS it better to be closer to something or another. Advise please all you wise Disney travelers!

I could be wrong but I think the South Wing has been completely renovated so you may want to request that. The North Wing is closer to MK though. Based on the pics of the renovated rooms, they are much nicer than the old rooms.

Each wing has something going for it. The south wing rooms have been renovated, it is closer to the pools and can be closer to the main building. The north wing is a shorter walk to the MK, if you are interested in walking. It is closer to the playground, can be closer to the food court by using the back door. Some rooms in the north wing look out towards the MK and you can see the fireworks from the room, although these are parking lot view rooms. I think the nicest rooms in either wing are the ones that look out on the lake, but these are also the ones that are furthest from the main building. But the views are wonderful

Don't assume you have Garden View, they have lots of different categories beginning w/Stand (parking lot view)...I'd call & ask exactly what you booked.

Once you determine that, you can make requests as to floor, etc. but, they aren't guaranteed - as anywhere @ WDW...good luck.
