It's me, DH and DD (2 1/2). There are several rides she can't ride and I'm trying to make a list of which ones have single rider lines so we can plan our itinerary.

As I recall Test Track does, but do any others? Particularly Expedition Everest, any of the other thrill rides.

Only 3 attractions have Single-rider lines in all of WDW.

Test Track-Epcot
Expedition Everest-DAK
Rock'nRollerCoaster-DHS

These lines might not be available at all times that the attraction is operating.

We ran into something interesting the morning of Friday, March 20, at Animal Kingdom. After riding Everest first-thing, standby line was very long, so we thought we would go again, using the single-rider lane. But the CM told us the single-rider lane was full and couldn't handle any more at that time. I had never heard before then of a single-rider lane being full.

Great question. I had no idea it was so few rides though. Thanks Robo!

It wouldn't stay closed very long, if they were just waiting for it to
empty a bit.

I'll GUESS that the CM COULD have been just making up a story.

There can be times of day (usually the mornings) where they don't make the Single Rider lines available.
The CM might have just fed you the info about being full so there would be no more need for conversation.

Test track is one of the best single rider lines. It moves pretty fast because of the 3/3 per car.

EE & R&RRC are hit and miss. Usually once we have riden both as a family, if we want to do it later in the day we will do it via the single rider. Our kids don't mind riding seperate at 11 & 17, especially if it means we get to ride more often. You are in line together so it's not bad at all. In fact -my son loves riding in a car at Test Track without us........he has loved this part for quite a few years now. I guess its the whole independece thing.

You could be right. I can talk people's ears off. :)

There was a rumor that morning that EE wasn't running immediately at 9:00 because of a staffing shortage, and that's why the standby line was so long by 9:15 (55-minute wait, as I recall). So maybe single-rider was indeed full.

On Monday, March 23, for morning EMH, we tried to use single-rider lane after riding EE three times for one last ride (before dashing out of the park to catch the Magical Express), and I was told that it wouldn't be open undil 9:30 (which was understandable, because standby was only a 10-minute wait during the 8:00 - 9:00 EMH).

Don't forget you can also do the Baby Swap thing. You can ride while your DH hangs out with your daughter and then vice versa without waiting again. I think you have to show your DD to the CM at the line and get a special pass. I've never been with such a little one, but that's what I hear. Yes, I'm just spreading info third hand!

On the 'Funny Things Kids Say Thread' a lady was talking about her four girls riding Toy Story Mania and how she was upet that they used the Single Rider Line, making their little sister ride single with a stranger. So, does TSM also have a single rider line now?

TSMM used to have a single rider line. No longer the case. From the August 2008 vacation through our last vacation this month I have not seen a single rider line opened up at TSMM.

Despite no single rider line, the CM will not leave a seat unfilled. They call out for odd numbered groups in the regular line.

My advice: if you don't want your kids to ride with strangers... make them ride together and the adult can ride with the stranger.

During this last trip we were a group of five, so all of us took turns being the odd man out.

The rider swap works great. We have done that the past several years but now our twins are old enough and WANT TO go on almost all of the rides we go on. Go for the rider swap . . . . you'll be glad you did!

I used the single rider line for EE a few times last June and it was great. There was one time however, where the single rider line took close to a hour because it was crowded and the regular line just had alot of even amount of people. Some CM's seem to turn and get single riders on every so often and some don't. That was the first and only time the line took a long time. The moral of the story is You never know how long it will take.:hippie:
Enjoy your visit:banana:
