Wow, three of my favorites. That Mission Space makes you feel claustrophobic is hilariously ironic.Small World - boring, outdated and cheesy.
Mission Space - makes me claustrophobic.
Tower of Terror - I hate heights.
Can't believe no one mentioned Pirates in Hollywood Studios. It's by far the worst experience in the world. You get done and think you will now go on to the ride to find out that what you just experienced was the extent of it. If you have to go on it don't waste time in line if it's longer than 1 show.
Skip: Swiss Family Treehouse -- who? Test Track -- I can drive 60 mph anytime I want. Great Movie Ride -- worse than Swiss Family Treehouse. Tiki Room -- Just generally boring Muppets --seriously don't get it. Any arcade anywhere in WDW.
I agree about TT, but we are really into cars and get a lot of speeding tickets. I thought it was just usRadiator Springs Racers is more fun.
GM & Muppets definitely.
However, if possible, it's always good to do each ride once.
Tea Cups - even looking at them makes me green Mission Space - I've only ever done the Green level and hard to work very hard not to throw up Stitch - was a waste of time and don't see the point of being belted into the seats Country Bear Jamboree - just didn't enjoy it at all O Canada movie - I'm from Canada and love my country, but this is a seriously outdated movie (even with the not so long ago update). B and C-list celebs don't help it at all. Canada is a big a diverse nation and we could have a way better movie (rant over). Ellen's Energy - for no other reason than it doesn't seem appealing Conservation station - no need to go to a petting zoo
My advise would be to buy some Disney planning books or go on YouTube and watch some videos on the attractions YOU think your family might be interested in.
The problem you will have listening to other people is you might miss something that YOUR family loves just because you listened to someone else. For every 50 people who hate a particular attraction/restaurant there will be another 50 people that love it.
My biggest advice is BE FLEXIBLE. While planning is now critical for a Disney trip it is also just as important to deviate from that plan if at the time your family wants to do something else.
Enjoy your first trip!
eastcarolinafan said:Definitely should try everything once. But no, it's not just you. It was my daughter, 13, who brought TT up last time we were there. We jumped through all the hoops and waited like good Scouts in the standby. This was just after the upgrade. As we were walking out she leaned into me and was like "I don't remember it being so boring. All we did was go 60 mph."
She was 8 the last time we had ridden TT and I guess the hype was enough then. It will always remain a mystery how WDW has made going the speed limit on an interstate a flagship attraction at Epcot.
I'd much rather ride the Carousel of Progress than Test Track. That old thing just hits me in my Disney heart.![]()
Advice for a first timers.... DON'T SKIP ANYTHING!
Skipping rides or attractions is for the second trip!
The only disclaimer is if you need to avoid heights, spinning, etc.
I absolutely agree with this! Everyone has different likes, so find yours on your own! As far as what WE skip... Great Movie Ride and Tiki Birds... both attractions just bore us to tears, but YOU may love them, so go find out!
