Which rides are unique or different DLR vs WDW?

I just read that Space will be down for refurb during our visit. Based on the differences you've all described between the 2 Space rides, I'll have to plan a revisit to see for myself which is better! Since this one day visit was a last minute add on/squeeze in to our SD-SF coast road trip, I'm pretty sure we'll make a more DLR centric trip in the near future.

I'm looking at the maps and trying to settle on a rough touring plan. Tentative plan so far:

RSR ride at opening then FP for 2nd ride later (what is "wide right" please?)
TSMM
California Screamin (a maybe depending on my and DD's courage level)
get FP for Soarin (I'll run while they explore Carlsland)
Luigi
RSR w/ FP if time is before 12pm if not we'll come back over later (get another FP for night time ride if still available?)
Soarin w/ FP

Head over to DL
get FP fpr BTMRR
lunch - what's good in this area??? not looking for restaurant, just counter service
POTC
BTMRR w/ FP
HM
Splash
back to hotel for a swim and a short nap

I need to work on the 6pm-midnight plan... would love some input, critique, suggestions on the 1st half of our day. Last time we were at WDW they were not enforcing the FP return time so I never really looked at the windows. Not sure how realistic this plan is based on the new rules. Thanks!

bump to see if anyone can provide input on our tentative touring plan above

TIA

The only thing I'd change on the first half of your day is Soaring. From what I remember, it's exactly the same as WDW. It's just called Soarin' over there versus Soarin' over California here.

As far as DL, a quick counter service depends on what type of food you want, Mexican, chicken tenders, sandwiches or hamburgers. When you say "close" that means something different at DL, because it is more compact than Magic Kingdom or any of the other parks at WDW. :) There's a cute stage show at the Golden Horseshoe where you can eat and watch, as well as other counter service places. If you want more info on the other places, let me know.

As the PPs said, Indy is a must. Maybe if it is not a crowded day you could get a FP in the afternoon for Space Mountain and return at night to use it. Since Disney said they will be enforcing FP return times, we've always returned during our window. IHTH!

Thanks so much for your input! Soarin is a must do for us. My mom (72) is traveling with us and it's one of her favorites (mine and DDs as well). Re Indy, Space (if it opens from refurb), Matterhorn etc. Do these rides typically still have FP available after 6pm? Our after dinner touring will be more playing it by ear based on wait times/crowds but I want to have a very loose idea of what we'll be doing.

Your plan looks good.I would consider a ride on INDY while in DL. Also, you could grab a bite to eat at the Hungry Bear when you head over to Thunder Mtn. and pirates and all that. It is a good little counter service spot right along the Rivers of America.

You should try to catch either the fireworks, World of Color, or Fantasmic! at night as part of your plan. I will also give a thumbs up to the PP's recommendation of the Alladin show at California Adventures. It's a pretty awesome show.
