Which ride to hit first-Mission Space or Soarin'?

OK, so I know these are the two most popular rides so I'm not sure which one to hit first to beat the lines...Mission or Soarin? I was thinking of doing Mission Space first, then Fasttrack, then go to Soarin and see the Land (last March the land was closed so anxious to check it out now). Thanks for the advice!

Last year we went to Soarin' first, mainly because it had just opened, then went to TT and MS.......will be interested to see what people have to say about more recently. I am thinking that this year i will go and get FP for Soarin' and then meet DD's over at TT and MS.

Soarin' was great but make sure you get in Row 1 (no dangling feet!)

Definitely do Soarin, or get a fastpast for it, first. That attraction had the longest lines while we were there in December. We have found that Test Track also has long lines -- often even longer than Mossion Space -- but they are near each other, so you can check which to wait in line for, and which to fastpass. Have fun!!

We were there in late January and Soarin' had the longest lines throughout the entire trip. I would definitely go to Soarin' first. Mission Space had only a 10 minute wait while we were there. I'm sure the waits will be increased now...but Soarin' is definitely where I would head first.

Have a wonderful trip!

The lines for MS are never that bad. Soarin fills up very fast. Go to Soarin first!

Soarin! Without a doubt! The lines for MS and TT never compared to the long lines for Soarin while we were there in December. We did EMH one night at Epcot...walked onto MS whlie Soarin and TT had fast pass return times at over an hour!

I am sure the UG knows more than I, but here's how we did it.

We got there super-early and were first in the crowd, at the head of the pack (you kind of have to defend your position here, as late-comers are jockeying for it as well.)
Got FPs for Soarin' and rode Soarin'
Rode TT, single rider line
Rode M:S together
Rode Ellen
Raced over to Soarin', as we were nearing the end of our FP time
Rode Soarin' again

Go to Soarin first, if the line is long get a FP and then head to MS. Good luck, we were there in July and the FP for Soarin was dispensed by 11am. I did not wait 90+ to ride. We did get on MS :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 .

Here's what we did in December. Ride Soarin' first. Get FP for Soarin'. Go ride MS. Ride Soarin' again on the way out of the park!! :sunny:

Worked like a charm.

Worked like a charm.

Definitely what I would recommend, too. We waited over 1/2 hour to ride Soarin' with a Fastpass.

Soarin'. That's where everyone headed at opening when we were there in January. There never seems to be much of a line at MS.

Me too, Soarin first and maybe twice with the Fast Pass. We usually have practically walked on Mission Space, with 5-10 minute waits.

Bobbi :)

Definately do Soarin first! The lines for Soarin are long and very slow loading. I have never had to wait for MS even in the summer. 10 minutes at the longest!

If you get there at park opening, go to Soarin' first and just ride it. It may be crowded but there is no advantage to getting a fast pass and returning; you won't save any time by doing so.

If you arrive between 9:00 and 9:30, go to Soarin' and make a decision. If the wait isn't too bad (less than 30 minutes), go ahead and do it. Otherwise get a fastpass.

You usually don't want to get in the standby line around 9:45-10:00. That's when the fastpass returnees start, and the standby line starts to move a lot slower. The posted wait times may be misleading at this time.

Later in the day, don't even think about getting in the standby line unless the posted wait time is short. Just grab a fastpass.

Mission Space shouldn't be too bad. Standby will probably be OK most of the time.

Get a fast pass for Soarin....then go ride Mission Space. Then go back and do Soarin.
If both have long lines...do Soarin first because it tends to have a 2 hour wait sometimes near the end of the day when all of the fast passes are sold out. We did not get to ride it last time we were there...which was over Winter Break. We are headed back next week and will def. make it out first stop!

I would make sure and do Soarin' first. I think it gets a lot more traffic since just about anyone can ride it vs. MS which is more geared towards thrill seekers.

Last fall, we were able to ride Soarin' 4x in one day (and we left Epcot around 3 PM). We got there at park opening, I jogged ahead and nabbed fastpasses for the whole family and then we were among the first 50 or so in the standby line when the rest of the family arrived. Since they were among the first FP's issued, we didn't have to wait long to get another one, so we just got more for Soarin!

We were at Epcot today, arrived at about noon, went went to receive FP for TT first, and it provided a Surprise FP for MS, which was only 15 mins away or so. So we rode that, then went to the land, the wait for Soarin said 60 mins.

We decided to wait anyhow, but it was really only like 15 mins!!!

Anyhow, once that was done we got a FP for The Land, and then went to our TT FP, which actually ended up being like a 20 min wait. What is weird to me is that the singles line for TT seems to group up with everyone, what's up with that?

Once that was done we went back to the land. We did this all in the afternoon.

without a doubt do Soarin first. this past july 3rd we went and got a fastpass for soarin and literally walked onto MS. as soon as epcot opens it seems as if everyone herds over to Soarin'
