Which restaurants would you call a "hidden gem"?

Another last minute strategy is to book your TS for lunch or early dinner. Those times are usually available, even at the popular places.

La Hacienda de San Angel in Epcot. I'm not sure this is technically a hidden gem, but I don't think it has a huge following. We were kind of reluctant to try it last June because of the limited reviews I could find, some of them mixed. However, it was absolutely a HIT. We absolutely loved the paradilla platter for two (my husband was in grilled meat heaven) and we both agreed that it was one of the best meals we've ever had at WDW (ranked up there with California Grill for us!). Other dishes at our table that were happily devoured were the snapper and the taco sampler. Then we ended the meal with an awesome view of Illuminations!

We also love Olivia's Cafe and Captain's Grille!

The Wave for sure! Was also pleasantly surprised by ESPN Club especially since they don't accept reservations.

Hidden Gems: Tangierine Cafe (QS at Epcot Morocco) , Sunshine Seasons at Epcot The Land, Kona Cafe at the Poly, Sanaa at Kidani, Maya Grill at Coronado Springs, Tutto Gusto at Epcot Italy, Columbia Harbor House MK, and Crew's Cup Lounge at Yacht Club.

1. The Wave
2. Trattoria al Forno (Boardwalk inn)
3. Jiko (2 credits) or Artist Point (2 credits)

Crew's Cup Lounge at Yacht Club. It's a basically a pub that serves food. Great burgers, fries, appetizers and sandwiches. Fun atmosphere. Good booze.

Boatwrights for sure. We also had an excellent meal at The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. After dinner we took a boat to DownTown Disney. One that we have never had a problem getting a reservation at is Ragland Road. Great food and fun entertainment. EPCOT Teppan Edo or Via Napoli.

For me it is the Wave. I love the location and I have always had great service there. The food is really good as well. Another plus is it is generally booked up so it is easy to get into same day.

Our favorites are not usually in the hard to get category -
The Wave (lunch or dinner, it's always good....I like the fish in edamame stew, hubby likes the beef tenderloin)
Kona Cafe (dinner is our favorite, love the teriyaki steak)
Yak & Yeti (steak and shrimp)

Yorkshire County Fish Shop (fish & chips so delish, can't wait to go back)
Patisserie les Halles lunch
La Cantina de San Angel - fish tacos for lunch, yum
Sleepy Hollow (Nutella waffle, or chicken waffle sandwich)

Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorites for breakfast. I would say Kona also, love the breakfast there but it really isn't so much of a hidden gem anymore - it is very popular.

The Plaza Restaurant

I'm gonna say the Wave and I've never even been there - this place gets wonderful reviews and one I'd love to try!

Yak & Yeti in AK is just amazing. Not sure if it is a hidden gem anymore, but we love going for dinner. Great food and great atmosphere.
