I was wondering which restaurants have the best atmosphere for kids... excluding character meals. We already have a couple of ADRs for character meals, HDDR, and Ohana's. I need to add one more TS meal. Would like to have a nice meal with good food, but be able to please my boys almost 5 and 8. They are great "diners", but they are kids, so they can't sit forever. Any suggestions? :)

have you considered Whispering Canyons Cafe at the WL? We went in Sept and thought it was pretty enretaining for our kids and the food was good. There was a big table with Lincoln Logs and our kids did not want to leave it to be seated. There are stick horse races and it is a loud place that is fun.

I agree! WCC is such a fun place. My boys loved it and the food is delicious!! Some other ideas for atmostphere might be Sci Fi, Prime Time Cafe (lots of fun) or even Rainforest Cafe. :)

Another vote for WCC. And my kids like Rainforest Cafe, the Coral Reef & also did well at Chef de France-DS says it was the best Hamburger ever-who knew ;)

My kids did well at WCC also, we also love Sci-Fi & Rainforest. They really like eating at San Angel too, the atomosphere is really fun.

My kids enjoyed WCC, Sci-Fi, Prime Time, & RFC. Another one that I was worried about was Tepenyaki. It turned out to be one of the kids favorites. The hot grill with my DS4 was very scary, but it was not a problem at all. They put the little kids at the ends of the grill where it is not as hot. They loved watching the chef and what was happening on the grill!

WHISPERING CANYON.
My kids have never had so much fun. From the bottomless milkshake to the pony races. It was a hoot. The best $100 I spent on the trip.
We went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast and yes, we had fun but $100 for breakfast was a little much. My kids don't eat $20 in food. They are 10, 11, & 11 and were charged adult fees. At least at WCC they could order from the kids menu. So $100 for dinner and desset was better.
I've not been to Pime time cafe but I hear it's fun too.

I would also recommend WCC. We have a great time when we go there and we also love their milkshakes.

My kids loved WCC , they also love Chef Mickeys. One restaurant that they loved that surprised me was Sci Fi they loved sitting in the cars and watching the old movies. They asked to go back there again. Coral Reef is a real fav, they were facinated with the huge tank and trying to find different fish and they were besides themselves when there was a diver in the tank. We were also lucky enough to see a diver hold up a will you marry me sign to a young couple ~ very exciting (she said yes!! :bride: :groom: ) The tank kept them entertained so much so my husband and I could actually eat dinner and talk . That doesn't happen often without some little person constantly interrupting. ;)

I am going to go with Trail's End Cafe' in FW. It is such a fun atmosphere, and the ride there (monorail,boat..from Epcot) is fun for kids too! The food is delicious, and it is soo neat!

My kids (10, 7, 3) love WCC, ohanas, sci-fi, and surprisingly, Germany. They love the show. And they love Kona--they think that's the best dessert in WDW. Sometimes we head over to Kona in the late afternoon after a day in MK just so the kids can have that dessert and we have coffee (it's also the only place with good coffee on property).
