I'll be on a 3-night cruise aboard the Dream this coming January.
I have Palo reservations for the 1st night, meaning we'll have to skip one of the main dining rooms.
I know I want to eat in Animators, but can't decide if I want to skip Royal Palace or Enchanted Garden.
(I'm planning on requesting a dining rotation beginning with the dining room we don't want.)

What would you do?!?!?

Is this your first Dream cruise? For the first time onboard each ship, I like to do all the main dining rooms. And save the extra cost venues for future cruises when I can make my own choice as to what dining room/menu is least attractive to me. Instead of relying on other's opinions.

I'd look at the menus. Neither are super exciting in terms of decor, but I prefer the menu in Enchanted Garden.

This isn't my first Dream cruise, but my first as an adult so Palo is an absolute must.
I've eaten in all of the main dining rooms in the Dream but not recently.
I'm already leaning towards skipping Royal Palace, but also wanted to see what other had to say!

Its just personal preference - they all have their pros and cons. I would skip Animators as it is too loud and not the atmosphere I enjoy for dinner. I have never been to Palo yet - hope to soon. Have fun!

Royal Palace vs. Enchanted Garden is a tough call. I would say that if you or one of your tablemates really digs the Princesses, they you should skip EG in favor of RP. Otherwise, I would skip RP, just because I personally like EG's show with the sky and the tulip lights.

We always skip Animators when we can--too much like a cafeteria atmosphere.

But as for the other 2, I guess I'd skip Royal ---

I requested Animator Palate for this upcoming cruise on our first night, I have never requested a rotation before but it is my son's birthday cruise and he really loves AP (I love the pasta pursettes)
We will be dining at Palo the second night and my least favorite MDR is EG so, I am sort of hoping that ends up being the night we skip. :)

Have a great cruise!

I know when I was on the Fantasy EG followed AP. That was in 2015 - not sure if it's still the same.

On the Fantasy, we usually get the AERAERA rotation, which is awesome. ..but I recall the Dream having something like EAR...not sure when that was though, I am thinking it was June 2014. And in September of this year, I seem to recall AER on the Dream as well. Fingers crossed as I would hate to miss those pasta pursiettes. lol

I haven't been on the Dream since 2014, but I'm pretty sure both times there it was ERA because those times I did Pirate Night on night one and missed EG and ended in AP. But things could have changed since then.

That is great you snagged a Palo reservation! You'll get plenty of opinions, and since you can't do everything, I really wouldn't stress over which restaurants you get. They are all so different, and all fun.

One suggestion - if you can time it, stop by your table the first night in the MDR to tell your waiters you won't be there. This small kindness will greatly help them, and you'll be repaid quite well the next couple of nights!

We had RAE on a September 16 cruise... ap was my least fave of the bunch rp was my favorite

I always find RP noisy and crowded and EG more chill. But if you love princesses RP has amazing details.

I prefer the decor and menu in RP over EG. If I were you I would check the menus. Choose the restaurant where the menu is most appealing to you.

On the Dream, EG is our least favorite MDR. Not that its bad, just #3 out of 3.

Oh, see, I think it's bad. Awful, actually. We're vegetarian and apart from the time when we got vegetarian Indian food ordered the night before for EG, we haven't had anything even close to being good.

It's pretty in there, but the food is ghastly to us.
