I agree with everyone, for atmosphere San Angel is better for service not so much. I've never had a problem with the food there but it is almost always crowded and it seems to be luck of the draw as to what kind of service you are going to get. We wandered into La Hacienda in May, around 5 or so we were hungry didn't have ADRs anywhere didn't want QS and thought why not. Got seated right away, got good service. The menu is different than San Angel, I'm guessing it's a regional thing. I'm not sure I'd say it was any better, just different. I think you'd be fine with either one.
