Which restaurant--help

We have dined at all three. We were disappointed with Tony's and Mama Melrose's. We enjoyed our dinner at Alfredo's...great desserts! princess: pirate: :earboy2:

Mama Melrose is one of our favorite restaurants. We have been once on each of our last 8 trips. In fact Im making a special trip to MGM at dinner time on our next trip(we only have 1 park day) just to eat there. Obviuosly that would be my first choice.

While I havent eaten at Alfredos in almost 10 years, when we did, we really enjoyed it. I have nothing bad to say about it and I would go back again. So that would be my second choice.

After a horrible experience at Tonys, I wont be going back. However plenty others have reported great experiences, so like anything, if it interests you I suggest trying it for yourself. ;)

Since you are obviously looking for someplace Italian, you should also consider Palio at the Swan.

Tony's is so-so, wouldn't go back, Been to Alfredo's twice, it's good . Never been to Mama's-saving that for next time

Tony's is ok for lunch, but I would not recommend it for dinner. It's more "americanized" Italian than the other 2 places.
Mamas we love. Their grilled pizzas come made to order or as listed on the menu. and last summer they never once charged us for our sodas. What really impressed us was our DS loved the chicken parmesan one evening. He wanted the same thing at lunch a few days later but it wasn't on the menu....to make a long story short, the chef prepared it for him anyway! what great customer service!!!!
Alfredos is an experience. If you can't eat in the main dining salon though, I'd pass. We were once stuck off in the smaller room to the side and it was a terrible disappointment, even though there were open tables in the salon. Stick with the specialty here--we tried other entrees off the menu and yuck, the red sauce was tasteless! The fettucini is the best. Save room for dessert, they have wonderful choices.

Our family would recommend Mamas. :cool1:  :cool1:

Alfredo's is the best.

Even when I want a trip with all new dining experiences, I have to sneak in a lunch at Alfredo's.

Good point! While it is a little more upscale and pricier than the others mentioned, you will get a great meal there.

I'd vote for Mama's - great Chicken Parmesan! :) We've eaten there on our last 2 trips & intend to make it a trip tradition.

We used to really enjoy Tony's, but after a poor experience there at lunch in March 2003, we haven't been back. Not sure we'll return since we've found Mama's now.

Haven't been to Alfredo's, but considered trying it sometime. My MIL & FIL ate there in December & really enjoyed it. :)

Simply because the food is better, IMHO. Atmosphere is great. Service outstanding. I found Mama Melrose to be just okay, and Tony's as well. Although the location of Tony's is great, especially if you can get an outside or window table.

I like Tony's and Alfredo's :earboy2: You are going to see a significant difference in price with Alfredo's being more expensive. I like Tony's for lunch :mickeybar It's a nice Disney atmosphere and I have never had a bad meal for lunch there (although I have heard many people who have). I always get a pizza and it is always hot, fresh and perfect. Look at the menus on allearsnet.com and that should help you :)
