We are planning on visiting disney resorts this trip.
High on our list is the Grand Floridian because of the Gigerbread house then all star movies as DD is a toy story nut :)

Which other resorts are worth a visit and why ?
Thanks guys x

you've got to go to the wilderness lodge its lovely!! sure someone on here has xmas photos of it- probably Wayne I think

Its part of our plan for this trip and high on my list is wilderness lodge and Animal kingdom lodge. The interiors look amazing at both and I think we might check out the poly one night to see what the fireworks look like from the beach.

AKL, they do lots of activity for kids in the lobby in the afternoon and obviously there is the animals to look at. They have CMs from Africa and they are fun to talk too.

The gf is lovely to visit they have lots of lovely seating areas and places with TVS etc ! I also recommend gasperillas it's the food court at the gf and it's nice for a bite to eat. If you visit in the evening the gf orchestra will be playing it's well worth a visit. They sell some beautiful treats from the gingerbread house

Also a visit to akl they have lots of activities there. The boardwalk is nice too in the evening

I loved visiting AKL - we went for a meal at Boma - but took the time to look round the resort - it is so lovely, high up on our list to stay there - we love the Poly too, however after seeing AKL - that is probably my perfect resort.

We stayed at POFQ last year and loved walking round this resort and Riverside, if you go to DTD you can get the boat to these and walk round - plus make sure you grab some beignets from POFQ!! We will be taking a special trip there this year just to have some.

Oddly enough, one that fails to warrant my attention is The Contemporary - we are eating at the Cali Grill there this year - but as a resort I think it just looks ugly - as for being called Contemorary - well it probably was in 1983 - but in 2010 it looks dated to me and rather like one of those eyesore buildings that people want to take down!

We did the resorts last December and enjoyed seeing all the decoratations.

We liked GF, AKL, WL. All had photopass photographers by the xmas trees.

Worth a visit is ft wilderness. You could combine it with the free chip and dale campfire singalong. Alot of campers decorate their pitches with fairy lights and all sorts of decorations.

Thanks guys !! Ive put all them on my list !!! I think we shall have to set ourselves a xmas tree mission.
Something along the lines of get photo taken by 30 xmas trees or more :lmao:

No problem I think I still have a leaflet somewhere on what they sell, if I find it I will scan it in. I may also have the schedule for activities at AKL I will see if I can find that too!

Christmas at Disney is the best, we got married there in Dec 2000 and got some lovely wedding pics taken at the Christmas tree!

Last trip we visted all of the deluxes as research for our honeymoon stay.

This trip we'll be visiting the ones we aren't staying at too, Poly and WL for meals, and BC as we have friends staying there, so I'm keen to nosy at their room!

We also really want to try beignets so will be visiting POFQ, and Jack's Mum is booked in CSR, so that's a great excuse for me to have another nosy and to grab something from the famous Pepper Market!

If you're there over Christmas Beach Club and Yacht club also have Christmas gingerbread decorations!:thumbsup2
