Looking at a possible trip in September. Plan would most likely be 8 nights total (1-bedroom), with it split between two resorts.

Options for the first 4 nights are BLT, BRV and Riviera.
  • BLT easily has the best location and the bonus of the 2nd bathroom.
  • BRV is probably appealing to me because it is different and I do love it being somewhat similar to the Grand Californian.
  • RIV while I'd never own there (don't have any interest in WDW tower resorts), we want to stay there at some point. So it is still of interest and of course has the skyliner.
Options for the second resort are SSR, OKW and Riviera. But it would be between SSR & OKW.
  • OKW is the OG and the most unique, but also the most isolated. Although in many ways that is a benefit.
  • SSR is closer to Disney Springs, so seems like there would be way more things available.
Our home resorts are AKV Kidani, VGF and VDH. With AKV definitely being our favorite as we do things more slowly these days and like being somewhere that we can enjoy our downtime.

Would love to hear some thoughts from all of you!

Well for my upcoming trip in October I have 3 nights at BLT in a 1BDRM, 2 nights at AKL Jambo House in a Club Level 1BDRM followed by 2 nights in a Savana View Studio and finally 3 nights at BRV in a 1BDRM.

If you plan to spend more time at MK, then BLT to start. More time at EP/HS, then Riv to start. For us, AKL would be the perfect complement to a split stay. But between your choices, we definitely have a soft spot for OKW - beautiful, peaceful resort with an easy boat ride to DS for some fun time and great dining!

If you are going in September you have lots of options with the points being so low.

What type of trip are you taking? If you are doing parks on both days I would do BRV or BLT and then RIV on the backend.

OKW & SSR are right next to it so the proximity to DS only matters if you are walking and technically you could walk from OKW as well.

I'd say if you plan to enjoy Food & Wine, go with Riviera and then go over to SSR. I know everyone loves the bigger rooms at OKW, but the "newer' more refurbished rooms at SSR win it for me. We did not like our room quality at OKW.
