The free meal deal is so good that I put a hold on POP for 6 nights because the deal is so good! Which hotels do you think will sell out 1st because of this offer being so good? Asking incase we change to Poly or AKL? What do you think? Do you think Pop could sell out 1st or Poly, AKL or any others?
Need you input!

I would think the values would sell out first. Remember you can't combine this offer w/ any other ones so we'll be paying rack rate for the rooms!

I saw an ad for the new "Free Dining" plan in this past Sunday's newspaper. Disney wasn't calling it free dining, merely saying it was an all-inclusive trip. It also said that the deal was only available for a limited number of rooms. I wonder how many Lagoon View rooms they will be willing to fill in the deluxe resorts when they can probably get full price for them anyway. Will they use the less desirable room locations with the plan, or still allow room requests?

I think All Star Movies will sell out first, then POFQ (because it's small) and then the other values.

I would think whatever resort has the fewest rooms will sell out first. Usually when AP rates come out, for example, the deluxes seem to sell out before the values I think.

I thought CSR was already sold out of the dining plans. Maybe it was just for certain weeks. It makes sense though, since they are the resort which gives out the fewest AP rooms, they probably had the fewest dining packages.

Wow! I feel lucky then because I'm at CSR with the Dining Plan starting 8/21.

I also think that the values would sell out first. There's a big difference in rack rate of $77 or $300+.

I just booked CSR standard room 2 hrs ago for 8 nights Oct 1st-9th. You are right though, most of the weeks looked sold out for CSR via Disney's website but we wanted as late as possible. Expedia had my Sat night booked but when I called Disney they had all 8 days open and I booked immediately so expedia isn't the final say - CALL DISNEY!! My CM put it right in as she said there were a few times she was squaring everything away and then poof - the rooms were gone. She said it is still VERY busy. Someone above posted that POFQ and ALL Stars Movies would be first - she is right, most of their dates are already booked.

So if you are going to do it HURRY HURRY!!!!

I agree. I think that the value resorts would sell out faster. There are a lot of us blue collar workers that can only afford those!! :badpc:

I think moderates sell out first. I noticed in May that when things were booking up at the beginning of the celebration, that availability was left in SOME of the values (POP had openings) and SOME of the Deluxe resorts such as the GF, AKL and Poly. It varied from week to week. YC/BC seems to sell out fast, as did moderates. Probably depends on conventions too.

one of the magazine I read say that the most expensive and the cheapest sell out the first.

the most expensive at WDW would be the suites in the deluxe resorts, then GF, Polyn, YC, BC, BW, Cont, Wl, AKL

the less expensive would be the value resorts.

but sometimes the moderate sell our before either the deluxes or the values.

however for this June I couldn't get a room at Pop Century period - but I could get one at CBR or CSR.

sounds like it is anybodys guess which resort sells out first.

It depends on the dates you want to go, and the class of room you want.

I have heard that the WL standard is a hard room to get. Other view catagories that cost more have more availability.

At the high end resorts (GF, etc.) the room discounts are often bigger than the cost of the dining plan for a family since you have to book rooms at rack to get the free dining.

So, I guess maybe I will stick with POP for now, let me now if you all think thats a good idea and still like to here everyones ideas? Thanks :earsboy:

i had to change resorts to get the dining plan. from csr to por for 9/26 to 10/4. i was told csr resort was not a participating resort with the dining inclusive package. but por is fine with me too. :cool1:

Thats not true. I am at CSR from 8/28-9/3 with the all inclusive dining free package. The CSR resort might be sold out for the free dining for the timeframe you are looking for though.

wow thats interesting? I guess maybe Disney is only selling a certain amount packages of this promo? You would like that since they stated this promo by using certain dates for the promo that they would honor any resort if that resort was not sold out - at least not during the dates that they stated?
