We are spending 5 nights at WDW after our upcoming cruise this December, and we have the choice to stay at: Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, or Coronado Springs. Which one would you choose? The only resorts we have stayed at are The All Stars (sports, movies and music) and The Wilderness Lodge. THANKS in advance!!!!!!!

My first choice would be CSR and second would be POR.

I'll vote for Port Orleans too. I'm a little partial to Riverside, but had a great time at French Quarter too.

POR get my vote too!

I have stayed at Port Orleans (French Quarter), and Riverside (when it was Dixie Landings), of those two I would pick Riverside.

I have stayed at Carribean Beach and would never again. The resort was too big, and for some reason, we could never find it when we were trying to get back, I don't know if there was not enough signage, or if we just got lost time and time again....

I have only eaten at Coronado Springs, but I loved it, and would love to stay there. There have been other posts that state that CSR is "more than a moderate" so, that one gets my vote of the three.

Now what do I do? :smooth:

For those of you who lean towards Port Orleans, what makes you choose it over the others? I read the reviews posted at the top of the resorts pages, and the one for Coronado Springs was best. I am curious, and truly appreciate everyone taking the time to help me out!!!!!

THANKS!

I would stay at POR- that has always been my family's favorite! We love the atmosphere, and the walk to the food court in the mornings brings back such nostalgia to me. There is the boat to DD, which is a great afternoon diversion and makes it stand out in that respect from the other moderates. There are also 2 resorts, so you can take such nice walks and see all of the different areas in the resort and try the other pools or lounges. There is also entertainment in the lounge at POR, a very funny and good piano player (Bob, I believe). He makes it worth staying there! You don't even have to drink to enjoy him, just sit back and relax in one of the couches. We've also stayed at CBR, but a long time ago before the food court was refurbished. We also liked it, we liked Aruba and Jamaica with the walk across the island to the food court (can you tell we don't mind having a small walk to get places. Ambience over absolute convenience. There is a limit, though (Trinidad II, the far areas of CS!!)) We didn't like CS as well, but to be fair the time we stayed there it was over 100 degrees every day, and that may have colored the experience. One thing we really disliked, though, was the food court. They make you wait to be seated (at a food court!), and then you have to pay on the way out and they add a tip automatically to the bill. When we were there they didn't do anything to warrant a tip, and we would rather just relax on our own anyway if we're at a food court. If we wanted more, we'd go to a sit down restraunt. But don't get me wrong, it's still a Disney resort and we had a great time. just wasn't our favorite. You'll enjoy any of the moderates.

I had basically the same decision as you to make and I went with POFQ. I choose that one because I really like the fact that is a smaller resort, not so big and spread out and because I liked the option of taking the boat over to Downtown Disney. I didn't like the big spread layouts of POR and CBR and read some not so flattering reviews of CS, mainly about it being the least
"Disneyish." Also there was a thread here asking "Which resort would you NOT stay at again?" and not even one person said POFQ while at least two posts mentioned all of the others. I haven't read one negative review or post about POFQ so I went with that one.
