So we closed on our VGF contract and are awaiting out MA login and the for points to be added. We were advised all this could take up to 7 weeks (we have been advised that these estimates may be long).
The contract we purchased has some banked points we plan on using in November and Im preparing a backup plan in case when our points come in there is no availability at Grand Floridan. We like to go Sunday thru Wednesday or Thursday.
we personally like all the resorts and would be fine most anywhere
where do you experts suggest staying if VGF has no availability?
we like Animal Kingdom and don’t know if everything is expected to be open by then and hear that it’s rather sparse there now. But if it’s an option would you choose Jambo or Kidani and why?
is Poly expected to be open fully by November?

Any suggestions appreciated? I want to do some looking and as soon as I get points and see what’s available make an informed decision

thank you

Depending on when in November, you are most likely to see 7-month availability at OKW, Saratoga and AKV Kidani.

I would rate your chances of CCV, BCV or BWV as low. BLT if it shows would be LV, and Poly is a maybe, it can be up and down depending on dates.

All of which to say, at 8am of 7 months grab what is available.

If you go with AKV and the all restaurants are open, I’d pick Jambo for the convenience. Not a big deal if only Kidani is available. Quick shuttle over to Jambo or just walk it.

If restaurants being open is the priority with a brand new room, go SSR and walk to Disney Springs.

I would expect that is there is any chance of a VGF studio it would be before the 20th and you would have to piece it together as days pop up, this it true even if you had your points today.

I would be surprised if Jambo was not fully open by then, and if you book right at 7 months you should be OK Poly also should have some if you have flexibility. Same goes for BLT lake and theme park views.

If all else fails OKW or SSR

I think that by the time your points drop, it won't be a matter of what we recommend, it will be a matter of what's available. I wouldn't get expectations up for VGF this trip unless you do a split stay with a few nights there..if you can get them.

Poly hotel side should be open by November. Restaurants and transportation options may or may not open, depending on the need.

There is no opening date announced for Jambo. The place is a ghost town with only DVC villas open. I would choose Kidani over Jambo based on current conditions.

Personally, I would go with SSR. The rooms renovations should be completed by November. It's close to Disney Springs for dining and entertainment. And most of the resort amenities are open.

The PO resorts and Jambo have no announced opening dates, and all add a ton of rooms. Given that there is abundant hotel availability right now and through summer into fall, it will take real acceleration of demand AND Disney adding theme park capacity for Jambo to open for November. The DVC is open and bookable, but the hotel and dining remain a big question mark and really depend on the next 6 months.

If you go with AKV and the all restaurants are open, I’d pick Jambo for the convenience. Not a big deal if only Kidani is available. Quick shuttle over to Jambo or just walk it.
HOw often does the shuttle run between the two?
