Hi! I am going to Free Dining at the end of Sept. and hoping to get a bounceback offer for next year's free dining. My family has said they want to come with us if we do that next year. So...here is what my family consists of and then I will explain my question:
Me, DH and ds (who will be turning 5 next Oct.)
My mom and dad
My brother, sis-in-law, and their two children (will be 5 yr. old and 18 months)

Now, my question is what type of resort or room set up (suite, condo, etc.) is best for this size family? Will it apply to the Free Dining Bounceback (if offered)? We want to be budget friendly as much as possible of course!! Any opinions?? Which value, mod and deluxe is best suited for also??

If you want to all stay together you are talking big bucks. Most economical is 3 separate rooms at value resort. But if rooming together is your thing, a 2br villa is the way to go, but they are very pricy and renting points from a DVC member will not qualify you for free dining. You need to purchase a MYW pkg at regular price( rack rate) in order to qualify

I have never taken advantage of the Bounce Back offer, but hope to shortly. But I am curious how many rooms you may book with it? I am thinking with so many adults the price is going to be shared? What kind of budget were you thinking?

You could get by with two rooms. You could also do a family suite and a regular room at ASMu - but they would not be in the same building, much less adjoining.

POR will allow five people per room with a trundle bed, so you oculd certianly do two rooms that way.

Otherwise, you could try SSR or OKW. They won't be inexpensive.

I'd probably go with three rooms at a value or moderate. That way you get the extra privacy and the extra space.

Another place that would be ideal for a group like this is the Vistana. It's offsite, but wold work very well with a group of that size. You'd get a very nice BIG room: master bedroom w/king bed, second bedroom with two full size beds or two twin beds, pull out couch, full kitchen, balcony with outdoor table for dining, very close to WDW, great deals on rooms, very clean. We had a very good rate on two rooms there and it was LOTS of space. If you don't get free dining there, you easily save quite a bit on eating breakfast at there.

Another really nice offsite that often has deals is the Caribe Royal. It's got a great pool! Very nice resort, very close to WDW!
