Which resort is best for resale in 15 years?

I'm exactly in the same place. We are a family of 5 with young kids, we have LOVED renting POLY it is by far our favorite resort but we have to consider BLT as an option for when the kids get older and we need more space. Decisions Decisions!

Remember, the studios are Poly are much bigger than the studios at BLT..
Poly occupancy for studios is 5
BLT studios occupancy is only 4..

So at BLT, you would need a 1 bedroom for your family. At Poly, you'd still have the option of a studio.
And when you really need extra space, 2 studios is typically "cheaper" than a 1 or 2 bedroom.

So in many ways, the "space" argument favors Poly over BLT.

We ended up putting in an offer on PVB today! We are only buying enough points for studios, and I’ll need something that can grow with us as our kids get older, and I think BLT studios will be too tight when my kids get older. I realized I’d be disappointed not getting a Poly studio at 7 months, which made me realize that I should make it my home resort.
Can't wait to hear if it is accepted! I'm one step away from accepting a counteroffer on one as well. 😳

I don’t think Disney wants it to go to OKW or SSR, I don’t think there is enough people at those two resorts to justify it going to Epcot. If they included POR and POFQ then there might be enough. Let’s not forget the current Skyliner goes to 2 parks. Unless they run the Skyliner to the CBR hub, a much longer distance than the front of Epcot. No one really knows what the whole plan is for proposed Skyliner sites. It is possible they are going to put them all over or just have the one.

It is not just SSR or OKW, it is more about Disney Springs, at least based on what I read about, that is the focus of phase 2 Skyliner. If this actually happens, adding the soon-to-arrive high speed train station, Disney Springs could expand into a transportation/dining/shopping/entertainment hub, which certainly will increase appeal of SSR, so from an 'investment' perspective, it could be a value story.

Can't imagine what happens if Skyliner arrives at MK...MK has its own Riviera? That is not a value adding scenario for existing resorts...but...pure speculations... :)

I agree if we are talking about studio space then Poly is the way to go no question. Our decision between BLT and POLY is for the Poly studio vs the BLT 1-bedroom, sorry I wasn't clear about that. Even though I'm not crazy about the aesthetic of BLT the pros are the in room laundry, kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, standard 1 bedrooms, and walking distance to MK, but like someone else said I feel like I'm on vacation when I stay at the Poly.
I'm starting to lean more to getting enough Poly points to book BLT 1-bedrooms (probably lake view) at 7 months when the time comes.

15 years is a long time from now. Who really knows. Florida could be underwater by then, so maybe none of them.

Best for resale in 15 years in relation to cost today?

I think this is a easy question. Poly right now has the 1st or 2nd best cost per point per year for the life of the contract right now and I don't see prices going down for this amazing resort. Plus, I think the dining and snack options between GF and Poly are like heaven on earth.

In the end you should be thrilled by your purchase. I know I was. It is a big decision with a lot of money at stake. Glad that you seem happy with your choice.

After not having luck with a bunch of contracts for monorail resorts, I just had one come together for BLT! I actually went over asking price because I felt the asking point price would be taken at ROFR. 🤞 it passes ROFR!
