which resort has the best pool??

I tried to do a search of the forum but my search terms must be too vague LOL

which resort has the best pool? water slide, hot tub, decor, etc.

we are thinking about our next trip already even though we *just* got back

Best pool hands down is yacht and beach club...and people know it too...you must get a arm bracelet to use the pool and you can only get one if you are a YC/BC guest

Another vote for Stormalong Bay at the YC/BC. I love the lazy river, the sand bottom and the pirate water slide.

This is the rating from my 11 year old son.

1. Storm along bay---coolest pool. Only downside it that you have to cross the pathway of people to get to the waterslide steps.

2. POR theme pool---great pool. Great water slide.

I don't know about best hot tub, but the biggest one is at CSR.

For decor I'd say POFQ

I LOVED The AKL pool. It is the largest--and the zero depth entry thing is a cool touch that makes you think you really are walking right into a "watering hole" in an oasis. GREAT scenery around the pool--VERY spacious (I never felt crowded). AND.....the Nyami Nyami drinks (I forget how to spell that drink---but those that have had it know what I mean) at the poolside bar are TO DIE FOR!!!! My 8 year old was completely happy with the slide -- and never got bored!!

I agree the pool at AKL is very unique, but Stormalong Bay is the largest at 3 acres. AKL is listed between 9,000 to 11,000 square feet.

I do think the AKL pool is a better pool for young swimmers. The SAB pool complex is so large, and so spread out and the main slide entrance is quite a distance from the pool area that it is very hard to keep up with young children at this pool unless you stay close at hand with them.

Also the current section of the pool is very swift and deep at 8 feet.

SAB is very cool....but if you want to sit in a lawn chair while you keep an eye on your children it will make you grey before your time. Much of the pool is very deep. You can't see the pool from end to end. The sandbar and little kids area is at the far end of three acres from the big pool slide.

Its a great pool when your kids are small enough that you are with them or old enough to say "you have until 3:00, then be right back here." Its not a bad pool if you have enough adults for the kids. Its a horrible pool if your husband is playing golf and you are trying to keep tabs on a three year old, a six year old and an eight year old.
