Which resort has the best bar to kick back at and have a drink?

Thanks!

You will probably get a number of responses to this question as everyone will have their favorite. It really depends on where you are staying. If you are staying at an Epcot resort, you will have several watering holes within walking distance. One of my favorite quiet bars is the Bellevue Room at the Boardwalk. It is open til midnight and has a nice atmosphere and a good balcony seating area. My favorite place to drink is the ESPN Club...I love sports, so I am bias...

I love the Poly so my vote goes to the two there. The one by the pool offers great views of the MK, and Rosie the bartender is a hoot. The bar inside, by 'Ohana, has great tropical drinks in a gorgeous location and at certain times, live entertainment. Wonderful! What could be better than sipping a fluffy drink in a whole pineapple while listening to Hawaaian music?

We went to see Bob Jackson at the River Roost lounge at POR on our trip in July. He was awesome! He is so funny! Not to be missed if you are in the area or even if you're not!

The drinks and munchies were all good and the atmosphere is upbeat and entertaining. We'll definately make this a must-do on future trips!

i second the river roost at POR. its small and quaint and we had a great time listening to bob and all his antics.

I've been to the lounges at the Contemporary, Poly, WL, GF, BWI and AKL (no, I am not a lush:teeth: ). Hands-down my favorite was the Victoria Falls Lounge at AKL. It has a fabulous wine list, overlooks Boma restaurant, is close to but removed from the awesome AKL lobby and is just a wonderful space. My brother and sister-in-law agreed (we're all in our early/mid thirties).
Enjoy!

I second Victoria Falls Lounge at AKL, and add in Kimono's sushi/Karaoke at the Swan. Sometimes it is dead quiet there, but sometimes it is packed and you'll have a riot listening to the singers, both good and not so good (I'm at a conference and I don't have to drive kind of singing!), but very entertaining! (I'd like to add that my DD 18 got a standing ovation there! She was one of the "good" I promise!)

Several come to mind.

Victoria Falls, although it can get very noisy when Boma is packed.

Mizners at the GF is wonderfully elegant.

The Bellevue Room at the BWI is quiet and a great place to watch a torrential rain outside.

Martha's Vineyard at the BC, relaxing and seldom if ever crowded, one of our favorites.

If you're a wine drinker, and it's not crowded (yes, this does happen now and then) the bar at the CG is wonderful.

Three come to mind for different beverages...

AKL - Victoria Falls - Nice Wine List

GF - Mizners - Cocktails

BC/YC - Crews Cup - Beer
(Schooners of Sam Adams on Tap!) :drinking1

Forget those P.S. I've made, those drinks sound awesome! I'm going to walk over to the Poly for those yummy concoctions

Our favorites:

Tambu Lounge at the Poly
Victoria Falls at AKL
Banana Cabana at CBR

Well certainly you can't forget The Bellvue Room at the BWI - very nice, it seems the bartender has been there since the resort opened - we aren't uncomfortable with the whole family there. The Crews Cup is our favorite (YC/BC) - a great place, I am sure that most, if not all the staff have been there for quite a while, very nice and attentive, even with large crowds. We also enjoyed Victoria Falls at AK - the nut mis is great (spicy). Martha's Vineyard (BC) is nice - kind of quite - but nice.
Depends on where you are staying and exactly what kind of atmosphere you enjoy. The "watering hole" at WL (can't remember the name is also nice - in fact the bartender was quite friendly.

I really like the Polynesian and the AKL's bars. Both are comfy with great drinks and good people watching.

I recommend lounge / resort hopping via monorail. Start at one of the following: Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary - and grab a drink then move on to the next one. (I esp. like the Polynesian.)

Victoria Falls at AKL - try the Victoria Falls Mist. If anyone knows what's in it I would love to be able to serve it at parties at home!

Bellvue Room is very relaxing and the bartenders were awesome.

Just had to reply and put another vote in for River Roost at POR. (Used to be Cotton Coop) We spent honeymoon at POR in '92 and went back last year and it was just as great as we remembered. We had planned to go to PI but ended up staying there all night!
