Which resort connects to Epcot?

My wife and i will be going down for 2 days, epcot only, and was wondering what resort connected france and epcot.

No resort connects Epcot and France. When you exit Epcot, via the International Gateway, if you walk straight, you will come to Beach Club, followed by Yacht Club. If you go left, at the top of the incline, and over the bridge, you will come to Boardwalk Inn. BC is about a 5 min walk to IG and BW is about 7-8 mins.

Swan and Dolphin are behind the Boardwalk area. Still walking distance to IG, but Beach Club would be the closest.

Very short walk from any of them -- maybe 10-15 minutes max from the Swan and Dolphin -- and, just an FYI, you can walk in the other direction and go directly to Disney Hollywood Studios which is about a mile walk on a clearly identified path. There are friendship boats that go from all of the hotels right to the international gateway or Disney Hollywood Studios, but they take longer than walking as they stop at all of the hotels.

On the right, you'll see Epcot's International Gateway. That's the rear entrance to Epcot, right between the UK and France.

wow! that is pretty close. So the fairy at the board walk goes direct to the rear ent to epcot? is there cut off times that is open to the public or is it open like the front gate?

IG is open park hours. Boat runs an hour after park closes.

You are correct, the ferry takes you from the Board Walk Inn to the International Gateway where you walk in between France and United Kingdom -- I believe that both entrances open at the same time, it literally is just another entrance to the park except you walk into the World Showcase instead of Future World. Although the World Showcase doesn't officially open until 11am, I believe you can walk in at 9am, turn left and walk past UK and Canada and into future world, I believe if you turn right there is a bakery in France that is open but then the rest of World Showcase is roped off until 11am. I believe if you walk from Future World by Mexico you can get as far as Norway before you hit ropes again.
