Apparently there's a new Publix at 8145 Vineland Ave. I think I know how to get there. Which is better/more convenient (e.g. from BCV), this new one or the old one at 192 & International Drive South (which I assume remains in business)?

The new store on Vineland Road is just past the Mary Queen of the Universe shrine, the Premium Outlets, and the Dixie Stampede dinner show. Traffic can be slow if you come in from SR 535 if it's a cloudy/rainy day and people are going shopping. The road starts out two lanes and drops to one which backs up traffic. The return trip can back up as the right turn onto SR 535 has to stop and wait for an opening in traffic as it has no dedicated light. This can take a long time to get turned onto 535 if traffic is heavy which causes a backup on Vineland road.

It's always quicker to take SR 536 to a left on I Drive and come up I-Drive and turn left at the 24 hour Walgreens to enter the Publix plaza then retrace your steps on the way back. It's about the same distance from BCV/BWV to either store if you head out SR536 past the Marriott World Center to I Drive. From the I Drive intersection you can go right to hit the 192 store or left to hit the Vineland store. It's only a few miles either way with no major intersections to slow you down.

We find the Winn-Dixie North of the Crossroads works well also....

Yes, I do they are from OKW - let me know if you need more assistance - make sure you get a discount card if you do not already have one!

Winn-Dixie Marketplace #2215 - Orlando Division
SHOPPES OF LAKE AVENUE
11957 SOUTH APOPKA VINELAND RD
ORLANDO, FL 32836

From OKW, make a right, this will take you past Saratoga Springs, at the end of the road, make a right, then a left at Hotel Resorts Blvd (light at Downtown Disney). Follow it to the end and make a left (across from Crossroads). The Winn-Dixie is about a mile on the right, just past the ABC Liquor Store. Sign up for a shopper card, they have various items on special every week.

At the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd (facing Crossroads), take a left. Pass the first strip mall with Eckerd Drug. Winn-Dixie is in the next strip mall complex on your right.

Thanks very much for the directions. I'm printing them off so we can have them handy for our trip home to BWV a week from today! We've used Gooding's in the past but it's been a few years. It sounds like they've become pretty expensive so it's good to have an alternative close by.

Thanks again!
