Which program should I buy?

I am not a stand-on-the-sidelines kind of gal soooo - I am going to jump in and buy a graphics program - even though I downloaded a free copy of Photo Impact and could do nothing. I am thinking if I buy a book to go with my program it should help me. Now for the hard part - what program do you suggest I purchase?

I'd get Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can get it for about $70. Lots cheaper than Photoshop CS or whatever. There are plenty of great programs. I have PSE and I love it.

I have Paint Shop Pro & love it. You can also get it for around $70.

I'm going to go window shopping. Where do you get the Disney graphics and clip art? Are they already in these programs?
I have Printmaster and The Print Shop but can't do any of this, so decide to go shopping.
