Which Plus feature to Use?

 I'm utterly at a loss...I just joined HSC to save on our PHs and they don't have JUST PHs - only PH plusses.

Sooo - I'm considering getting a plus, even though I don't really want it. But, the reason I don't want it is because I haven't really been sold on a "plus" feature yet.

We're going in December - is it really going to be warm enough to go to Typhoon Lagoon?? (Blizzard Beach is closed the week we're there). Downtown Disney? Worth an admission for a family with three kids? I don't really think a 6 year old, 4 year old, and 2 year old are going to be interested in the least at the Sports Complex.

What would you do?

Do they offer a round of mini golf? That is what we do.

No - the plus features like - admission to the waterparks, Pleasure Island, and Wild Word of Sports (or whatever it's called) :)

We've done BB in December a couple of times. It's heated. The only problem is getting to the water from the beach. And the dripping water in the cave when you float on the lazy creek. Brrrr.

You could always save your plus features for another trip. I don't think they expire (but I'm not an expert on plusses).

I can tell you that the PH plus on HSC are cheaper to buy than the PH alone direct from Disney. That is on the 4 day anyhow. I have never used the plus and have heard not to buy more than you will be using, but if it is cheaper..... there is no harm in having them. You may end up using something. Had I known before buying from Disney, I probably would have just gotten the plus.

I know PH's don't expire but I am not positive on the plus side, if it expires if you have no hopper days left.

I actually just checked that - to see what the price differences are - and the advanced ticked price was 19 *more* for a Park Hopper Plus - which still gives us an extra admission for $19 - so not a bad deal.

That said - Blizzard Beach is closed - so it would have to be Typhoon Lagoon. I'm not sure what else we would do?

We *do* have a couple days planned in our vacation for time off - the day we leave, for example - or the middle-of-the-week day that we have planned. But, I do not relish the idea of hanging out in a swimsuit, 6 months pregnant, with three young kids in cooler weather ;)

Sorry.....I hadn't "actually" checked the prices for the plus, but was advised the other day that they were less than my prices. WHO TO BELIEVE? 19 isn't bad and I can't say as I "blame" you for not wanting to be out and about in a bathing suit pregnant.

Good Luck!

Okay - so what are my plus options with a park hopper plus?

Besides the two waterparks?

Can I use it to get into Disney Quest? Is that just a glorified arcade? Do you have to pay for the games in there?

Each Plus feature allows you admission to either of the water parks, Wide World of Sports, or Pleasure Island. They never expire, and they may be used on any day regardless of whether you have also visited one of the four main parks that day.

I looked at this too because we got a better deal through Ticketmania and a Mousesavers deal going with a PH with one plus our last trip - we have the pluses still to use. I looked at the prices of what you can do, and I believe you have the choice of Wide World of Sports (out for you), Pleasure Island (again, unless you get babysitters I don't know how much benefit you will get from this, or the water parks. Using it for the water parks is the most bang for your buck. You can't use it for Disney Quest but that would be cool.

Hi,
There are four ways to use the plus options, the two water parks TL and BB as well as Pleasure Island and Wide World of Sports Complex. Disney Quest is not one of the plus options and though I've never been there I hear it is outstanding. As stated, the plus options never expire, so if you don't use it this time you can use it on your next trip. We have a ton of plus options built up because are kids are too young to really enjoy the water parks, but since they never expire I'm sure we'll use them eventually.:D

Thanks.

I'm not sure what to do - I would be paying $19 more per person - so it would add up to around an extra $80 for a plus feature we may not use this trip, yk? And, if it is warm enough, we can always swim in our (heated) hotel pool just as easily (in fact, probably more easily than in the crowded waterpark).

I guess I just made my decision! LOL

Yes - I agree - Pleasure Island is out, Sports is out, and since Blizzard Beach is closed the only option is Typhoon Lagoon...I think we'll skip it this time around.

Thanks for the input!

Keep the $80. Just get what you need. If you loose the tickets before you go again your out of luck. If you go again you'll need new tickets and you can get the plus then. For $80 you can find something the kids would like to do.
