Which plan would you use for Fantasyland?

I have a couple options for when to tour Fantasyland and would appreciate opinions from those of you with far more experience than I. It will be myself, DS, DIL, DGS(8yr), and DGD(6yr) in Mid-September. It is a first trip for the kids. We are staying at PPH so could have early entry each day but since the first day (Monday) has early entry into DCA I would prefer to start the trip in Disneyland and not use EE that day. Which strategy to you think is best?

1. Monday rope drop at 10:00 and then head to Adventureland, NOS, Toontown, etc. Save Fantasyand for Tuesday 9:00 MM.

2. Fantasyland on Monday first thing. With EE in DCA and 10:00 crowds dispersed throughout the whole park I though FL might actually be less crowded Monday than a late opening time on Tuesday and most the MM crowds headed to FL.

Your thoughts? Experiences?

How many days are you in the parks, and do you have hoppers? That might make a difference....

We have 5 day hoppers and plan on Mon. Tues. Wed. Fri. and Sat. in DL and DCA. Thurs we will be at SeaWorld.

I think your plan is a good one! We're lucky that our first day has EE for Disneyland because I wanted that to be our first park. The only thing I see as being a problem is keeping the kids from wanting to hit FL on that first day. Crowds are going to be low so it might be worth checking in there sometime during the day. The lines might surprise you. If your GKs are anything like my kids (2, 4 and 6), they're going to want to ride Peter Pan, Dumbo etc ad nauseum during the trip - it won't be just a one time deal.
