Our original plan was to go to Cafe Mickey for one morning for breakfast instead of eating at our hotel ( Cheyenne), but after some recommendations, I am thinking of changing this. What would be the best place for American style breakfast, DLH at inventions? Is it still good if not on a Sunday? Thanks.

what do you mean by american style? do you mean hot food?

if so we had breakfast in the dlh on our last trip and it really was lovely. in fact my dd said it was her favorite meal of the entire trip even though she ate the exact same as she would have in our hotel lol. there is plenty of choice and the location is beautiful, we even had a table overlooking main street.

I believe Inventions would be the way to go. ;)
A hot breakfast, with things like potatoes and pancakes (in addition to bacon, sausages, eggs...etc) would be the closest to a proper 'American' breakfast. I had a fellow military friend that has been there and believes it to be the best breakfast in the park.

And though its not a character meal like Cafe Mickey's, they do have a meet and greet right by the door, so you can check who is going to be there on the little sign and decide if you want to bother waiting. Plus, DLH is beautiful and smells delicious. :cloud9:

By American I mean hot potatoes, eggs, pancakes ( I so wish for Mickey waffles but have been warned they do not have them) bacon sausage, that kind of thing.

Miss Skellington, yes, food wins over characters any day for us, thanks for the suggestions. Do I have to make reservations for breakfast during the week there?

you can't make reservations for breakfast at the DLH - you just go to the restaurant inside the hotel and tell the greeter that you are not staying at the hotel and would like to pay for breakfast.

We usually do EMH then go to the DLH for breakfast (and have it as brunch, relax over it and enjoy the surroundings :).

^^^ what Elaine said! :goodvibes

If those are the things you're looking for, then Inventions is the place to go. I know many like Cafe Mickeys, but we were very disappointed with it. I think Inventions would be more of what you're looking for, and with characters near by, you can't go wrong. If you're paying for it anyway, it's the best choice. :)

Yes DLH would be your best bet......and we had Mickey Waffles in HNY last visist - they were small but totally delicious! So you might be lucky!

Does Annettes do a hot breakfast too? I could have imagined it tho!

Oooh I was wondering this too as I do love me some pancakes at least once on holiday. To be honest I would take crepes, either will do me!

This is Annettes breakfast menu: taken from DLRPmagic

Two pancakes with maple syrup, two eggs scrambled or fried, bacon, sausage, toast, baked beans, potato sticks
