A little over 300 days until our first cruise!!

Okay, now that I have that out of my system. I'm thinking about Nassau. There's really not anything we want to do here, but I do want to at least get off the ship and walk around a bit. My assumption is, staying on the ship through the morning and eating lunch, then go for a walk to see some of Nassau. Is my thinking correct or should I switch it and go out in the morning?

I would eat breakfast then go ahead and get off and walk around the little market then get right back on board so you don't miss any onboard activities you want to do. We got off on our first cruise, took pictures, and have no plans of getting off in Nassau in the future.

I was thinking the same thing. I read a suggestion somewhere that since most people go into town in the morning, if you reverse your day and wait until afternoon its less busy. We also will probably just walk around after lunch and take pictures. Maybe visit the market.

We went into town after a lazy morning on the pool deck. It was perfect.....no crowds, nobody haggling for hair-braiding, tours, etc. walked with our four kids over to the straw market and met the nicest people. We were able to shop around and get best prices, but the kids were happy with their souvenirs. Browsed around the rest of town, but by then we were ready to hit the aqua duck again!
Have fun!

DON'T - unless you book an onboard (Disney excursion) - we did it twice and honestly Never again -- people hoarding you and yelling to buy stuff , the straw market at that point was in a tent and was overcrowded and hot -- stay on the boat! (my opinion)
