I know the idea is complete sacrilege, but if you were forced to skip one of the parks, which one of the four would you skip.

Just curious.

I don't know that I could actually leave WDW w/o visiting all 4 parks. If I had to choose, I'd have to drop AK.

That depends when your visiting the parks. If its during xmas then definantly DAK. You can watch Holidays around the world at Epcot and over at MGM the Osbornes Lights. If its not during Xmas then I would drop MGM. There something about DAK that I love. MGM really doesnt do it for me much only good thing is Fantasmic

Not visit all 4 parks!!! What? Just kidding. If I had to skip one it would be MGM. We love it there but there is not as much to do that interests my 6 yo daughter like the other parks have. We never skip AK because of Sydney's love of Pochahontas and My husbands love of Dinosaur.

How could you DISers skip MGM?!

I guess, too, it depends on the age of the children. Our DD will soon be 10, and she lives to ride ToT and R&R. (Not w/me though, I'm too terrified.:earseek: )

However, we're fine with visiting AK every other trip to WDW.:teeth:

MGM...we love the movie atmosphere and won't really skip it! But IF we HAD to...there isn't much new lately...

Ak, in fact the kids have not been there on our last two trips. They didn't want to go, so I went solo.

that is just tooooooo difficult! I could never choose which one not to go to. I guess if I had to though it would be MGM, I love it there but I love MK and AK too much and I love the fireworks at Epcot.
Oh no I hope this never happens in real life! I will be scarred for life having to choose!! ha ha:teeth:

::yes::

Anyway, I was considering MGM & AK and ended up voting for voted for AK.

I cant vote because I would never book a disney vacation so short that I would have to skip anything.
I would rather knock myself out trying to find the perfect week than have to compromise ANY disney time.

I wouldn't skip any of the parks but I knew no one would vote for Magic Kingdom so I didn't want that park to feel left out.

For me it depends on who I'm traveling with. If it's with my friends, it would be AK, because while I love that park, they aren't fans of it. If it's DH, we wouldn't skip any park, but we'd only go to MGM for about 30 minutes to ride Rock 'N Roller and otherwise would skip MGM.

For me, it would be Animal Kingdom. But DH would have something to say about that since he loves it.

I agree with the posters who said they couldn't skip any park. However, I'm one of those who voted for Magic Kingdom. It's the park where I spend the least amount of time on my visits when I'm not traveling with others. Usually, I do a morning there or an e-ride night. In December, I'm doing MVMCP and that's the only visit I have planned during my 6 night trip. It's not that I hate it and I would really hate a trip without a ride on Splash Mountain, but the other parks have attractions that I enjoy more.

I'd drop AK. It's not that AK is a bad park, far from it. I love the animals, the FOTLK and TTBAB shows, and the Dino ride are all favs of mine. But as much as I love it, I love the other three even more.

That said, I'd never schedule a vacation at WDW so short that I couldn't do all 4 parks and one non-park day, anyway. I'd rather have to take fewer long trips than take shorter trips more often.

Fly in late in evening, check into Disney resort. No parks, hang out at pool, explore resort, maybe a character dinner if money isn't tight. DTD also an option.

Then one day each at MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK with one day "off" in there someplace as a non-park day to hang out at the pool or do other non-park activites, again DTD is an option along with DQ. Do AK the last day, (we are always done no later than 2), since it takes the least time to tour, and head to the airport and fly home late.

This means you would spend 5 nights. At a Value resort with 4 day non-plus hoppers, and eating counter service or in room for most meals, that's a very cheap trip. If you really have the energy, you could also do a water park instead of the day off. Or make it a four night trip and skip the day off, although I wouldn't recomend doing it, spend the extra $$$ for one more night and take a day off, it's a vacation! I'd only make it shorter if I literally could not get that many days off from work. But if that was the case, I'd go to Vegas and not WDW, but that's me.

We are fortunate enough to be spending 8 nights in the park and would not go to WDW if we couldn't visit each park at least once during our trip.

I was just wondering what everyone thought.

Isn't it odd that the newer the park, the less people would mind skipping it. Why do you think that is? I would guess that the older parks are mostly finished with a few new additions, while the newer parks are still being developed. MGM and AK really don't offer the same "feel" as MK and Epcot. They both seem small in comparison to the other two.
