Which park to visit on an AH party date?

October 8th (Boo Bash!) will be our first after hours party. We plan to visit Hollywood studios on the day of our party because it’s not our favorite park. We had planned to go back to magic kingdom on October 10 but now it’s another boo bash date. Should we visit a different park that date since it’ll close early? We’ve heard other parks get busy on party dates since folks avoid the park with the party. What to do?

I’m not sure… thinking it might not matter with it being an After Hours party.
In the past MVMCP and MNSSHP ran 2-3x’s a week and MK closed early on those dates, and wouldn’t have regular day ticket fireworks. Guests would crowd in on the long days and avoid the short party days which severely affected crowd patterns. MK is not closing early for DAH; the hours should be the same closing time all week for the most part. There may be no difference in crowd patterns this party season and that’s a very welcome change for me 😊

One question is fireworks. Have no idea what their plan is. If for some reason they decided to only have regular MK fireworks on non-party days and only party fireworks on party days, that would affect the crowds.
I don’t think they’d go that route. Hope so at least. If Boo Bash AH is well received they may change the party models going forward to the shorter DAH, since the vastly different park hours were such a nuisance in the past.

The only problem of going to MK on an after hours event day is 7:00 on it’s pretty crowded. At least it was when we went. Main Street was packed when arrived and waits for rides were long until the party started.
