So my family usually goes to Disney every other year , this December I'm taking my mom and 2 kids (6&12) we are doing a short trip And have 3 full park days since we are doing the christmas party. I'm thinking of skipping a park and do a full day at magic kingdom since there is way more to do there. So I have 2 other park days which park would you skip. Ps we don't like Star Wars

If you don't like SW then the easy answer is HS. I was all set to skip Epcot this trip, but I couldn't pass it up once they announced the extension of F&W, so we're skipping AK this time. That being said, we did get the PH option, so we may get there anyhow.

Really nobody can answer this question except you, because it's 100% dependent on what you like or don't. My answer wouldn't mean a hill of beans because it's just my own personal tastes. If you don't like Star Wars that's fine, but HS has plenty of other attractions. I don't love or hate Star Wars, I'm pretty neutral, but I love HS. I love all the parks, so I'd have a hard time picking. Pick which ever one is least interesting to your group.

With a 12yo and a 6yo, I would say skip EPCOT unless your 12yo likes simple dark rides and isn't too cool for school for Frozen. DHS has plenty of non-star wars attractions that are appropriate for both ages, with a good overlap in Toy Story Land.

EPCOT only has a couple of exhilarating rides and tbh the rest may very well bore/annoy the 12yo.

I guess i feel like HS doesn't really have much to do besides Toy Story land. We have done all the shows and there is nothing new. Am i missing anything new at HS besides Star Wars land ? My kids won't do Tower of Terror or Aerosmith (they suck)

Aside from Toy Story Land and the new Star Wars area, there may not be a whole of interest for you at HS. There are some cool meet and greets, but if you're not into ToT or RnRc then I might pass on that. I'm not a big fan of Star Tours, even though I'm a huge Star Wars fan. More will be coming to HS, so perhaps then a future visit is best.

Having said that, a big draw of Epcot is the World Showcase, and there aren't many rides associated with that. So I would take that into consideration too.

Then why are you even asking if you've clearly already made your decision? If you know your kids won't do ToT or RnRC and you don't like Star Wars, then it seems like the answer was already pretty clear on which one you should skip.

Because its a forum. That's what people do on here. They ask for advice/tips etc. Its a perfectly acceptable question. No need to be snarky.

I would totally skip HS in your situation. There's honestly not much for them to do if you guys have no interest in RnRc, ToT, and SW. Magic Kingdom deserves two days. its an awesome park. Animal Kingdom should not be skipped. Such an incredible park. And of course I love epcot. Dont miss out on the countries! Theyre amazing! I love the day time entertainment too (drummers in france...are they still around?...also the chair stacking/climbing in france).

I'm not being snarky. I just felt that that's information that should have been part of the OP and was reacting to the phrase "they suck". From my POV given that reply about DHS, the OP already made up their minds and is looking for validation rather than advice.

Given what you have said, I would say skip HS. It is likely to be more crowded due to Star wars and if you guys aren't interested, it would make sense. I have a suggestion (this is what I would do) Make a list of all attractions at EPCOT and HS that you would want to do and compare side by side. I would, for sure, not skip AK with your kiddos ages.
Hope this helps!

The OP is perfectly within their right to ask for validation. People do it here all the time. Heck, i've done it too!

And I'm not saying they aren't. But this validation seems underhanded, especially when they all but already eliminated one park without letting other people know. As another person mentioned DHS has more than just Star Wars. How are we supposed to know what else their group isn't going to like? And now I'm the one getting hit for returning snark ("they suck") with snark.

Easy answer, if they don't care about SWGE, ToT or RnRC, I would skip HS. However, if there are things you want to do there (such as TSL), you could do that early morning and then go to EPCOT for the rest of the day and evening if you have park hoppers.

OP, I'm with you -- I'm not into Star Wars either, and if I had to skip one park, it would be DHS. I used to love the Great Movie Ride, but that's gone.

I read the 'they suck' part to be reflective that her kids won't ride those rides, ie her KIDS are the ones that suck (meant in jest, I'm sure) rather than stating anything negative about the rides in DHS.

Getting off track here, but you got too worked up over it. The OP had it in their mind to probably to skip HS but just wanted overall opinions on the parks (something there's no shortage of here). Once people brought up HS and it started to agree with their thoughts, they chimed in saying they were leaning towards skipping it. It's a perfectly acceptable post and I don't think there's any sort of reason to criticize it.

So yes, I would skip HS at this juncture as there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest for the OP.

I didn't know it was reasonable to chime in with "they suck" but will make sure to keep that in mind in the future.

And back on topic, yes, in your situation OP, skip DHS.

I agree about skipping DHS. You don’t want to miss Epcot with the storytellers in the different countries.
