We have free tickets to Universal/IOA tomorrow from DH's work. The catch is that they are only good tomorrow and only for one park.

We are having trouble deciding which park to go too, we can't hop.

It'll be me, dh, ds6 and dd who is 2 months. We will likely meet up with friends who have 4 and 7 year old boys.

DH and I like coasters
DS also likes coasters, he does all the ones at WDW except RNR and Space Mountain. He doesn't like the dark. For example he doesn't like any of the WDW Fantasyland 'dark' rides like Peter Pan or Snow White. He also doesn't like Pirates.

DD obviously won't really go on anything. We will likely baby swap for almost everything.

Our friends do not ride roller coasters at all, neither does their DS7. Their 4 year old is more adventurous but has really only done Barnstormer and Splash Mountain at WDW. They are both ok with dark rides.

So we have 2 families of polar opposites, which park would you suggest?

IOA. The rides are mostly outdoors. You DS won't be able to ride the big coasters, but your DH will. There are only two actual "Dark" rides at IOA: Spider-Man and Cat in the Hat. The rest are indoor/outdoor mix. The flumes (JP, Ripsaw) have some dark parts, but not very long.

Flying Unicorn would be good for all the kids, as it's refreshingly intense without being too scary or too cheesy.

They would also have a lot of fun with the Mystic Fountain.

And I'm sure that both the boys will love Marvel Superhero Island. Check the map for when the Superhero Parade is.

While DM has good points...I'd say the Studios.... Woody Zone (and similar coaster to Goofys!), Animal Show, Curious George (wet) playarea, you may be okay with MIB (kind of like Buzz ride), Jimmy Neutron and Shrek are movie theaters and have stationary seating in front (altho, Shrek IS 3D, so may be scary).... Jaws is outside, but have your son sit in the middle...just in case... :rolleyes1

While Spiderman and Cat ARE in the dark, both are very fun...Spidey a bit more scary (again 3D)....but, I'm sure you'll find plenty of fun at whatever park you choose! You could always buy a 1 day ticket and do both parks anyway :rolleyes1

Second on the studios plus if DH likes coasters then they have the mummy and its a indoor and can always ride it by himself plus like bubba's mom points out they have some good areas for the kids.
