We are arriving this Thursday and staying at POR but will just be doing MK on Friday and have other plans offsite for rest of the weekend. We haven't been to WDW for 10 years but went many times before that when kids were younger. When I was cleaning out a cupboard this weekend, I found 2 old tickets that I've saved and I think they had a day left on each of them or I wouldn't have held on to them. I called WDW and they said the only way to check to see if there are still days is to go to guest services at Disney Springs or to go to one of the parks. Just going with DS and DH and DH said he would prefer to relax by the pool Thurs so DS and I should just try it at one of the parks. We land around 10:30 and are renting a car so won't get to hotel until around noon. Question is this…which park would you do for afternoon? We have dinner reservations around 6:30 at Disney Springs and could move them a bit later but want to be at MK for 8 the next morning and will be tired from getting up super early for flights etc. I won't be able to book FPs ahead of time. There are a few new attractions at each park that I would love to experience so they all hold about the same appeal. Any help would be appreciated! Also, don't mind wasting a full day ticket for half day since not sure when we will be back in Florida again. Thanks for advice! I can't wait to be back at WDW!!!!

I would probably do Animal Kingdom. Most people go to the AK in the morning and leave around 3-4. It is open to 11 pm this Thursday and you will get to experience some of the evening activities at the park. This park is beautiful at night.

How old is DS?

If you like Star Wars at all I am going to say HS.....I know this is probably unpopular opinion! We had such a good time ther last year we changed our half day to a full. We rode star tours multiple times, shopped, now you can meet characters from Star Wars too. We rode toy story, ate a carrot cake cookie...watched muppet 4D show. Definitely fits nicely in half a day and some of these things are newer. Tower of terror and rockin roller coaster too, I forget those since we don't do thrill rides.

you could also do magic kingdom again, there's always more to do and see and you haven't seen the new fantasyland expansion yet!

How old is your son...?

If you are not attached to your DSp reservation, I'd suggest doing Epcot and making an ADR in the showcase. Otherwise, I'd probably pick DHS.

I'd personally do Epcot. It seems the most suited to spend an afternoon in. MK gets too crowded, AK is too hot, and HS...well Hollywood studios is simply a park in which I'd do once in a 7 day trip, but wouldn't never do if I had only one afternoon in WDW.

Spend some time in World Showcase. Do a few rides, get a Fastpass for Soar'n, do Living with the Land while you are in the Land pavillion. Ride Spaceship Earth on the way out or the way in. Sounds like a perfect afternoon!

Whenever we have just one day to hit a park (pre Cruise) we choose EPCOT. The crowds are always manageable. Plenty of attractions to keep us busy. The food options are the best od all the parks.

We had a similar choice this past April. We went with AK and really enjoyed ourselves!

Thanks everyone! Guess We will play it by ear and see where my DS wants to go. He's saying he may just want to hang by the pool and relax with my DH. I might be doing a park on my own for the first time and I will pick EPCOT if I am by myself! Each park has its own advantages for half day. Hmmmm maybe I will use the ticket to hop parks and get it all in!
