which park for 7 yr old girl?

We have done Disney twice with our 6 yr old DD- she loved MK and EP. We are thinking about US or IOA next year when she is 7. Any recommendation on which one? She is not into Harry Potter and doesn't like intense rides. I can't really go on many rides at all but DH likes rollercoasters. Are there more kids rides in one or the other? She likes characters a lot too.

i would say either park would be fine for a girl of 7.

both have rides and things to do that would appeal to them.

i wouldn't say one is better than the other.


both parks have shows for the family to enjoy.
both have water rides.
both have rides that can be enjoyed by either sex.


i say flip a coin to decide or buy the 1 day park hopper so you can do both parks.


i've been going for years and love both parks.
i do give the edge to the studios as it was the original park when i started going there in 1993.

I suggest going to the Universal website and read through the attractions at both parks. I agree that there are things at both that might appeal to her but a lot will depend on her tastes.

We're taking my little one next year when he's 5. I decided on the park by looking at the ride height and seeing where he'd have more choices. For him, it was IOA. Plus the superhero and cat in the hat stuff will go over big.

p.s. she may like the harry potter stuff once she's there, whether or not she knows the stories.
