which park besides DL(of course)

hi there, we have just decided we are headed back to disneyland in september ....i have promised my kids(dd-16, ds-will be 14 and dd-will be 12) that we will do another park while we are there....i need to know which is better, knotts or six flags....also, what is the distance from disneyland for both of them...we will also be travelling with another family whose kids will be 14, 10 and 8...anything you can tell me about these parks would be great...thx so much

Six Flags is around 1-2 hours away.
Knotts is around 5-10 mins away.

Six Flags has more intense rides. It also has more speciality ride and you can probably ride everything in a day's worth. I know Knotts, probably from 10-4, you can do everything really.

You can also consider Sea World(2-3 hr), Lego Land (1-2 hrs), Wild Animal Park(2-3 hr) and San Diego Zoo(2-3 hr).
